Rafael Fernandez presents his first LP. This collection of 9 tracks is characterized by its eclectic vibe. Instrumentation and ideas are combined with care in this album. Funk bass grooves, soulful chords, whispering or barking synthesizers, and lyrics in Spanish make this album interesting for a street walk or midnight at a club. Drums, both organic and sampled,  sound powerful and complete in this album too. The original homemade flavor of house music is all over these tracks. This is for sure a solid work produced by an authentic group of Latin American musicians.

The latest offering from Miguel Campbell’s Outcross Records comes courtesy of in-house label duo MAM, with ‘Beats of Science Vol 6’ playing host to two brand new tracks - ‘Global Warm Up’ and ‘Voicebox’.

Maintaining the vibrant disco elements from their previous releases, ‘Global Warm Up’ is defined by a solid, funk-laden bassline and glossy synth-melodies that build on a colourful, summertime aesthetic that's continued with aplomb via second track ‘Voicebox’. The latter is again groove-filled, although this time complete with looped vocal samples and powerful, soulful chords that hark back to an era of dance music not easily reimagined. 

About MAM
Just a Man and Another Man. MAM consist of the Leeds based duo Matt Hughes and Miguel Campbell. The two met online via their mutual love for Daft Punk and have been recreating the classic French Touch sound together since 2007, earning support from the likes of Soul Clap for their endeavours.

Juan Vargas (Sould Out), Jose Alvarez and Rafael Fernandez created Deep Sense in 2009. The main objective of the project was to promote and expose
Mexico City’s underground house, disco and funk scene.
Deep Sense has grown to be recognized as one of tbest electronic music ventures in Mexico City. Our close relation to scenes all over the world has aided us to expand and solidify as a professional brand and as a reference for Mexican electronic music.
Deep Sense has worked with international artists from a wide range of styles and genera including:  
MIguel Migs, Purple Disco Machine, Mark Farina, Drop Out Orchestra, Satin Jackets, Lovebirds, The Timewriter, Phil Weeks, Session Victim, Fred Everything, Tornado Wallace, Dave Allison, Pete Herbert, Dicky Trisco, Greg Willson, Get Down Edits, Jkriv, Derrick Carter and many more.

In 2014 Deep Sense debuts as a Music Label. Our purpose was to spur and promote the work of talented Mexican producers. As of today, we have 16 Ep’s and Various Artists compilations released in all major electronic music stores. All of our releases have been very well received and all of them featured in the prestigious top ten Disco/ Nu-Disco/ Re-Edits sales in Juno.
