Enrico De Vecchi's (aka Olderic) musical history could be written visiting his archive of more than 10000 vinyls. Among these precious beats & pieces are the elements that have shaped his eclectic DJ sets, much to the admiration of fans at his CIRQ Venice residency. Also synonymous with quality productions since 2009, Olderic has released his mixture of modern and old school house on labels like Terminal M, Area Remote, Thirtyonetwenty amongst many more. After a strong 2014 focusing on gigs, Olderic returned to the studio.  Now, fresh and ready, he has presented a new, fascinating EP 'Alma'

Olderic’s debut on Compost Black Label is definitively one with style! The title track, which is nothing less than a banger, takes listeners on a journey with gentle but effective bass and rhythmic patterns. 'Alma' also receives today's exclusive premiere by way of the first class remix treatment from drum master Christian Prommer who transforms the subtle original into a single breath race thanks to an irresistible rhythmical sequence built around the track's anthemic framework.

You may already know Steve Cobby: one of Hull's most talented residents, co-founder of Fila Brazillia and a chronic remixer/music maker. During 30 years of musical service he's forged remixes for acts as brilliantly diverse as Radiohead, Busta Rhymes and A Certain Ration. Déclassé, his own imprint is also home to 2014's critically acclaimed  Saudade and the upcoming (and brilliant)  Everliving LP.

"We Start Over" is an International Feel baby though - the result of Cobby and vocalist Trudie Dawn Smith combining for a bout of Balearic bliss. The ‘Private Acid Mix’ comes from two of house music's current treasures, Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer a.k.a Tuff City Kids, holding nothing back and dropping the 303 in a fine style with looped and twisted vocal snippets.

The EP’s original tracks draw on Fitzpatrick’s extensive production experience yet fit seamlessly into the Hotflush catalogue, retaining a dancefloor sensibility as they explore a range of melodic territory. The title track’s drama lies in its brazenly enchanted synth line, while B1, Vanishing, charts a deeper course, with a slow, percussive burn.
Recent Hotflush addition Auden contributes a remix that shapes the title track into an electro/IDM-indebted excursion.
