The next mix for our new podcast series was prepared by a man who requires very little introduction within the UK community, DJ Perception. Whether it be through his production, label or radio show, Cameron is one of the true UKG connoisseurs pushing the sound forward. 
He is a self-described “2-step connoisseur” from Camberwell, known in the UKG community as a producer, weekly host on specialist station Vision Radio and owner of record label MoodSwing. Above all, DJ Perception has been a collector from teen years, one who prides himself on material that no-one else has. These are not just obscure gems you can find on Discogs or at Croydon's DnR Vinyl for a price, but stacks of dubplates and DATs that don't exist in the public domain at all, often snapped up in bulk from older artists who got out the game when opportunities in UK garage dried up. His home is a drop-in hub for everyone from foundational producers like Dem 2, Sky Joose and El-B, to younger names in the scene like Ollie Rant, Mick James, Dr Banana and Lady Passion (Cameron's sister, who has been on the decks since age 13 too). 
His production game is just as strong, having carved out his unique and irresistible sound with a deep & soulful aesthetic. His tracks have been released on some of the best labels in the game today including DPR Records, Dr Banana, Rhythm & Vibe, Timehri and his own imprint Moodswing. This time we welcome D-Dubz, a long-time garage head, record collector, DJ and producer from Berlin, Germany.

D-Dubz aka Dub Jamz aka Flexx Gruvs aka DJ Chromz (his alias in the jungle business) has been involved in the scene since 2013, when he founded Wax Pistols Records, which mainly released tracks from Dub Jamz as well as collaborations with Karl “Tuff Enuff” Brow with whom he built a relationship that lasts to this day.

After taking a break from the scene, as of 2021 he continues producing and releasing under different alias as well as teaming up with some of his favorite producers like Perception, Thunderkats, Enrico Dragoni, and Ease Up George.

He has always had a strong love for everything connected to the history of UK rave culture such as music, lifestyle, artwork, and fashion so everything between 89-96. It starts with using analog hardware using original sample floppies from back in the day to mixing techniques or artwork creation.

This mix reflects his latest works including dubplates forthcoming releases and all-time favorites.

Flipping over onto the B side we find Johnny U-Tah who drops some classic re-pitched and time-stretched vocal business with 'Voices In My Head': a fantastic, high energy interpretation of the genre. Rolling up next is 'Melatron' by The Thunderkats, a bumpy, full-on piano infused number bringing solid garage vibes from start to finish. Completing the VA is Jay Ward and 'Everything That I Need', a sublimely executed track bristling with luscious vocals, an infectious beat and bassline to match. Get involved!
