Just a test to get some feedback on my Snare sound

Drums mixed a little better (I think) totally different amp sims used (all the free ones) and different eq settings. Also added a 5 string bass to the mix instead of a 4 string. Tuning is in drop E.

Used snare layering on superior drummer for the first time on this one and I've started using custom IR's instead of the POD's which are a little lack luster for my liking.

New Agile 8 String POD HD sound test August 2012

This is a mix test. Re-strung the old Ibanez RG in Drop B tuning. It may be a little out of tune as the intonation is out and the floating bridge is a little fidgety. I used superior drummer 2.0 for drums, POD HD desktop for guitars using the Angle Amp model but with God's Cab impulse responses. The cleans were done using Chimp Spanner's tutorial (go you tube it) but with a few tweaks (I changed the delays and the compression placement in the signal chain).

Ok, so this is the first time I've ever recorded my own vocals into a mix. Let me put a few caveat's around this:

1. I'm not a singer so don't expect Pavarotti; and
2. This will sound terrible and I refuse to use auto-tune so yes there are going to be dud notes but I'd rather learn from my mistakes than mask them.

This is a new test with some new patches that I've put together. The Guitars are done with a POD HD using Meambobbo's periphery patch as a base but I've changed the amps and cabs and tweaked a few things. The Drum kit is superior drummer 2.0 with the Corelia Preset that Ryan made in stereo but with a few changes to the snare and kick (you can find that here: http://youtu.be/9JZ_H0yzs8I). Meambobbo and Ryan have put epic amounts of time honing their craft so props to them. Also checkout the band Corelia, they deserve so much more attention!

Signal Chain: Ibanez 7 string -> Hard Gate->Red Comp->Wah Pedal*->Parametric EQ (50%,50%,66%98%,25%)->Noise Gate->Dual Tread Plates (one with 57 on axis one with 57 off axis)->Hard Gate.

*the open wah technique is something I got from Chimp Spanner where the weeper model is used and set at 100% with the mix at 50%

POD HD and Superior Drummer Test

New tone this time, combining the collective knowledge of Chimp Spanner and ForTiorl and meambobo from the line 6 forums. If anyone wants the tone, leave some comments.

Superior Drummer 2.0 I don't use any of the Superior Drummer 2.0 effects though.
Bass guitar is Pettinhouse Bass used through contact.
