It’s a funny old world that we live in today
The rich make more profit while the consumers pay
The idea to think freely, thrown out of the window
Meanwhile, dying in the distance, lies our hope of a better tomorrow.

Prisoners of society, allotted 1 bed, toilet and sink
Drones being fed hormones, forgetting how to think
Those of us who care, reduced to a fraction
Now what we need is a plan of action.

I say what’s this? What’s happening here?
The noise of that mob just fills me with fear.

Do not worry sir we wish you good tidings
This is a good-old, old-fashioned uprising.

But what’s the big problem? I’m doing ok
Why make a scene on this fine day today?

Ignorance is bliss until you’re enlightened
When you find out the truth I assure you’ll be frightened.

What if I just want to hide from my fears?
Secure in my bubble, away from the tears.

Do as you will as I’m not one to judge
But think of the day when it all gets too much.

I think that you lot are just being sore

So we won the battle, but our losses were high
We assumed rightful control, no more compromise

Mid Term Blues

Dreary thoughts surround my head
I just don’t wanna get out of bed
Accept my fate and slip on both my shoes.
Let me sleep I beg my head
My brain’s as scrambled as my eggs
Looks like I’ve come down with mid term blues.

Really think I’m losing track
6 or 7 assignments on my back
God I’m getting on my knees, my knees to pray.

I can’t deal with this no more
I just wanna curl up on the floor
It’s all too much for my head
Why can’t I just go to bed
I’m just gonna throw in my hand
All the other people couldn’t understand
What it’s like to be so mother**king lazy!
