Nobody knew too much about Krywald & Farrer when their email landed in our Gmail accounts late earlier this month. They’ve earned their stripes, yes. Their residencies at a number of London’s clubs tell us that story. But today’s debut tells us that they clearly just get a kick out of smushing genres together.

“The People’s Asafo” sees warm house textures flirt with an infusion of Ghanaian beatwork for eight minutes. A coaxing leg-shaker if there ever was one. It arrives on March 30th (via Silver Bear Recordings) and backed by B-side “He’s The Chief” which continues the afrocentric theme with gusto.

The story of 4th Sign. Two long time friends & producers Joss Moog & Around7, with common background & influences, and the same love of original samples & genuine loops. This project seemed to be obvious.

This year we have reached our long-term goal as a label which was to expand our releases into the wax department. We feel like we’ve done a good job bringing upcoming and original local talent to the surface so far and it is only fitting that our first vinyl release is done by the Icelandic duo https://soundcloud.com/davidhjalti. The duo has been busy with the production since their arrival from Manchester and have played a number of great live sets underlining their skills as producers. We feel that this release is the high standard we set ourselves before going vinyl and that this is just a small first step in a fruitful beginning for the producers David & Hjalti. The release features four excellent tracks which showcases terrific sampling work.

On his debut transmission for @allcitydublin, @folamour serves up three finely-crafted cuts of loose, heliotropic deep house to attack 2017 on the right foot. Vibraphone blazing, the French producer jazzes things up with a fine mixture of velveteen synth apostrophes and upfront clanky hats doing the yo-yo to bring further jacking efficiency to a well-rounded smokey funk groove. Now that's a party lighter!
