DRAG & DROP come on as a dynamic dj and producer duo from Frankfurt. 2012 was the year the two guys established their label Konzept Musique and decided to share their musical visions under yet another synonym. Whereas both come from different musical schools it was the mixture and inspiration in the other that spurred them to their new electronic project.
They blend all sorts of house and techhouse sounds, fx and grooves even adding some dubstep textures. Lately they found that they fall not only for strong grooves but also for recognizable breakdowns, wobbly interludes and dramatic synths, all ending up in inventive and playful tracks, some of which u might call "Techstep", according to DRAG & DROP themselves.

Whether experimenting or delivering functional, dirty grooves, DRAG & DROP are all for the floor, hence their tracks got reviewed in DJ MAG. They both played clubs from frankfurt to Berlin and Italy. Cocoon Club has been under their control as much as the trippy friendly crowd at Berlin’s infamous Kater Holzig, where everybody’s darling Sascha Braemer roadtested the DRAG & DROP tunes after signing them onto his whatiplay imprint. Their podcast for his label made them meet over 20.000 new fans that now like the principle in DRAG & DROP: tracks that move you! 

Lately they moved some tracks themselves, onto renowned labels such as Draft Recordings or the mighty Monique Musique (including an Arado remix), all tracks following up the path of their successful „Pongo“ tune for whatiplay. In September 2014 they logically contributed to their 2nd anniversary compilation with Konzept Musique.

Just So Fresh

With their fourth EP on My House Is Your House, Drag & Drop take us straight into the heart of early 2000s minimal sound—reinterpreted with a fresh, modern twist. "Discoball" is a journey through tight, hypnotic grooves, driven by a punchy kick drum and an offbeat bass that fuel the dancefloor with pure energy. Subtle mental elements in the background and an urban-style vocal add depth, making this track equally compelling for both club play and attentive listening.

Staying true to the label’s concept, the original is accompanied by a top-tier reinterpretation. This time, the remix duties are handled by the renowned Christian Burkhardt, who breaks conventions and pushes sonic boundaries. His version transforms the track into a stable yet dynamic piece with a hypnotic groove that transports the listener into an entirely new dimension.

Another release that reinforces the vision of My House Is Your House: uncompromising music, crafted by those who truly know their craft.

Born near Milan, Italian Marcel Dope has been immersed in the world of electronic music since his early teens. Having first stepped behind the decks at just 13 years old, his evolution into a producer was a natural progression, leading to his first releases in 2014. Since then, he’s built an impressive résumé with appearances on labels like Happy Techno, Material, and Innocent, while performing alongside global heavyweights including Dennis Cruz, Wade, Joey Daniel, and Neverdogs. His tracks have earned the support of leading figures such as Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, and many more, while as the head of his own label, Dope&Sick, he continues to push his distinct, groove-driven sound. Stepping up for his first release on Blackflag Recordings, Marcel delivers the ‘Make It True’ EP—a powerful three-track package through rolling percussion and hypnotic basslines. Opening with the title track ‘Make It True’, Marcel sets the tone with a slick blend of driving low-end, swinging drums, and captivating vocal snippets, crafting an energetic cut destined for terrace dancefloors. ‘Ma Side’ follows, layering crisp percussion, warm sub-bass, and zipping grooves to create a groove-laden, infectious ride.
