2to6 Records presents the 4th studio album from the darkpsy project known as Dragon. Pulling energy from the void and smashing dimensions, 'Obsidian Skies' gives way to the perfect soundscape for a sky full of non-terrestrial technology conducting clandestine operations here.  Unable to distinguish friend or foe, each track gives the listener the encoded format of communication to make those determinations.  

In classic darkpsy fashion, Dragon has delivered a uniquely powerful collection of 8 tracks with relentless driving basslines and scorching textures.  The theme becomes obvious as the ominous atmospheres are fragmented by the creepy FM delays and industrial percussion, pulling the listener into the abyss with maximum tension.  Each track was carefully crafted utilizing a variety of analog synthesis, resulting in rich leads that tear through the mix like a broken sonic gyroscope.  Crunchy rhythms and hammering snares make each track indestructible and impossible to ignore.  As we look up into the evening absence of light, shimmers of darkness give way to the Obsidian Skies woven within.

Not a single person in our community was untouched by this disaster; through death, loss of housing, innumerable damages, loss of power, water, food accessibility, cellular network, employment, and more. The effects of the crisis remain ongoing, and the landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains has been changed forever. 
• • • In response, psytrance friends from across the world have come together to donate their talents to this special compilation VA album presented by TOUCH Samadhi. These exceptional artists each have heartfelt ties to the lower Appalachian region and have lovingly offered their time and skill to help in the efforts to rebuild. 
~ All profits from this release will be donated to BeLoved Asheville, one of the largest grassroots nonprofits in the area who were among the first to mobilize a response providing crucial food, water, and supplies in staggering numbers to the Buncombe County region and surrounding relief efforts.
