Written for John Farnham on the Tina turner Tour in Europe in 1986 - When we returned home, Marc came to the studio in Bondi Rd to sing it. He was on his way somewhere else and only had a short time to do it. He rang the bell impatiently, strode up the stairs where I was tinkering with the backtrack. He took the lyric sheet of the mixing desk and went over to the mic. I pressed red on the Otari 24tk tape machine. There was a beautiful old Neve desk in that room that came from Studios 221 (Radio 2JJ's recording studio) so you could just plug in a mic and it sounded great. He sang it once only. This is that vocal. Then he left and roared off down Bondi Rd towards the sea on a wintery Sunday afternoon in his fabulous vintage Merc. What a fucking legend he was.  Sandi Chick came in later to sing the middle 8 later as Marc left that bit out on the grounds that it was crap.
