Just a quick tune I did in the style of Iron Maiden.  I may or may not have nearly copied multiple riffs or licks.  I built a new guitar and was just testing out its sound quality :)

Played on a home built Thinline Tele with a Mighty Mite neck and dimarzio pickups, straight to garage band.

A friend wants to jam to this song some day, so I thought why not track it as I learn the riffs?  :)   

When the time came to do vocals, there was no chance of me being able to come anywhere close to a 22 y/o James Hetfield, so I just had fun with it :) 

I discovered the tempo of the original track is slowed in parts.  Garageband only allows one tempo and time signature for a project.   No worries, I just had to up my game and play full throttle :)  Anyway, this has been really fun.  :)

Big Drill Car is one of my favorites.  this particular song was part of the soundtrack to Snowboarders in Exile.  :)  Stuff like this is what I consider "Rock n Roll"  :)

Chuck Schuldiner, metal God. 🔥🔥.  This will likely take a year to complete 🤣🤣.  Garageband only allows one tempo, and there are many in this song. So it's a delicate balance between how fast I can play vs how slow to make the slow parts. 🤷‍♀️🤦🤷‍♂️

I've been a Green Day fan since maybe 1992? I've always wanted to cover something from them. This was part of the outtakes featured on the Dookie 30th anniversary album. I had no idea they were considering it then. One of the cooler tracks from Kerplunk. love it. 

Funny enough. As much as I love their songs, I've learned only a couple of the riffs over the years. I knew zero parts of this song before starting. Completed it in 2 days 🥰🥰
