Back in 2016 we wrote a concert for the contermorary art festival TRANSART in North Italy. We used only everyday gadgets from different materials (metal, water, wood, glass, pastic), added a ton of effects and wrote music with it.

Ein Gespräch über Kultur zwischen Verwertungszwang und Überlebensfrage vor und nach Corona.

Kunst kann nicht von Luft und Liebe leben! Gut, Kunst vielleicht schon, nicht aber die Kunstschaffenden. Sie befanden sich bereits vor Corona tendenziell am unteren Ende der Einkommensverteilung, ihre Engagements von Prekariat und Förderungsabhängigkeit geprägt. In Krisenzeiten werden diese Finanzierungsmodelle vom romantisierten Künstlerleben zum existenzbedrohenden Problem. Gesucht sind jetzt noch dringender nachhaltige und langfristige Lösungen, damit Kunst und Kultur etwas ist, wovon man leben kann.

Außer Zweifel steht die gesellschaftliche Bedeutung von Kultur. Durch Musik, Literatur und allen anderen Formen der bildenden und darstellenden Kunst gestaltet sie nicht nur unser alltägliches Leben, sondern stößt auch immer wieder Denkprozesse an, und gibt Anlass, bestehendes neu zu denken. Kunst selbst schafft Realität, formt Gesellschaften. Wie sieht die Arbeit von, für und mit der Kultur nun aus?

Darüber spricht die Nachtigall mit Alisa Beck und Djamila Grandits, zwei Vorständinnen der IG Kultur Wien, der Interessensvertretung der freien und autonomen Szene Wiens.

Drahthaus is an electronic live band, art collective and recording studio in Vienna that was founded in 2015. They have produced different styles of music, but mostly electronica/dance oder ambient/experimental. They have also produced radio hits for other artists, music for festivals, for films, Netflix,- and TV Shows... They have worked with various labels, among others with Warner Chappell.
The members are Simon Öggl, Valentin Martins, Ludwig Ascher and Hans Zoderer
