The tracks on the “now i want to change” record are a collection of songs I made during the last three years of my life, a time that was a riddled with chaotic life-changing events. All the tracks on the album are inspired by this time, and while some of it may seem dark, it is more about the journey I took to overcome the depression, anxiety, self-doubt and irrational hopelessness that had consumed too much of my life. I also listened to way too much Cure as a child so most things I write sound depressing. Hence the title “Now I want to Change” (emphasis on the want).

Dramatic Pause is Dennis Marrero.  Musical influences were inspired much by The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, Deerhunter, Radiohead and the like. The lyrical writing on the tracks are a focal point for Dramatic Pause, as Dennis comes from an written word background. Some lyrical influences include Conor Oberst, Modest Mouse, Elliot Smith and John Lennon.
