Marking the 25th release on DEXT Recordings, we are proud to welcome back none other than Mak & Pasteman—the influential duo who helped shape the sound of the label in its formative years. After an 8-year hiatus, they return with Gold Teeth, a blistering 4-track EP that reaffirms their legacy with three raw, bass-loaded 2-step wobblers and a killer remix from rising star Stones Taro.
Mak & Pasteman’s catalogue includes heat for the likes of Lobster Boy (Redlight), Digital Soundboy (Shy FX), Naked Naked (Breach), and most recently, Unknown To The Unknown (DJ Haus). Their early output soundtracked the bass-heavy, sweat-soaked nights at London’s Swamp81 parties and beyond—nights that inspired the very launch of DEXT back in 2012.
Having them back on board for this milestone release is more than just a full-circle moment—it’s a statement. Each of the three originals on Gold Teeth slaps with signature M&P energy: gritty, hardware-driven drums, filthy basslines, and moody pads layered with haunting vocal cuts. It’s dark, driving, and unmistakably them.On remix duties, Kyoto-based producer Stones Taro brings the heat with a unique rework of the title track, flipping it into a fresh 2-step roller that’s already causing damage in the clubs.
