Sound action recorded at the great "cactus" water tower in Mooste, Estonia. This unused water tower has an amazing resonant sound and can be played as an experimental instrument. A excerpt from a longer dusk recording made from around 20:00-21:00 on April 12th, 2016. In this section we can hear a dense mix of frogs, a common snipe, a beaver chewing a tree and several other bird species. The environment was a small swamp that borders a larger forest in southeast Estonia. Unfortunately a car and a plane came in the middle of this section but I think its worth sharing. Recorded with a pair of homemade mics with 'Primo EM172' capsules and a Sony PCM-D50.

This is the first track off my upcoming EP 'Healer'.

The EP was recorded entirely using the Moog Sub37 and voice as audio sources. I tried to keep other effects and processing to a minimum, for the most part. For me, this is music to listen to in a quiet setting, or on a nice stroll.

'Healer' will be release on August 1st, on Bow Bottom Records as a digital download.

A test using a short sample of the sound of a stone being thrown onto a frozen lake. I pitch shifted the original down 3 octaves to compare the signal in detail.

Original recording made on a Sony PCM-D50. Its not bad but ideally I need to make a recording with better mics.
