Treasure Fingers - KOOLAID (Designer Drugs Remix)

ZDS puts his tech house genius to work on “Do You Like,” from the EP of the same name, which Treasure Fingers’ Psycho Disco! imprint has just put out. The titular cut is freakishly infectious and proves simplicity can truly go a long way. A robotic vocal is heard answering a line of questions regarding which genres it likes personally (apparently, trance is not its jam), while a low-strung rhythm hovers atop robust bass plucks that ring out behind sheeny chord stabs.

East London's ZDS is known for mixing in a bit of every genre into his Tech House productions, from Ghetto to Disco, on previous releases for Dirtybird, Made To Play, and Suara. In his debut release for Psycho Disco, ZDS takes the concept one step further with “Do You Like” where he cheekily explores all subsections of dance music and beyond. Do You Like is here to present the less serious side of techno.

On our 4th installment of This is Night Bass we’ve wrangled a nice mix of new and familiar names to the label, with sounds ranging from heaviest UKG to the grooviest house. We were stoked to land an epic tune from our globe-trotting Aussie friends Yolanda Be Cool and fellow Aussie bass-maker Wongo. On top of that we’ve got UK legends Champion and DJ Q each gracing our compilation with serious garage heaters. Night Bass resident badman Sinden drops some bassy darkness, while label newcomers Born Dirty, Dillion Nathaniel and Udachi deliver the quality goods, and Bijou returns with his first solo tune on Night Bass.
