Carloh makes his Hottrax debut this April with the groove-laden ‘Ritmo Rico’. 

Hailing from Ecuador, Carloh’s infectious, Latin-infused take on house has landed on labels such as Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, and Desolat whilst picking up support from Marco Carola, LEON, Paco Osuna and more. Now, Jamie Jones’ Hottrax welcomes the South American DJ and producer to the family with his three-track EP, ‘Ritmo Rico’. 

“The ‘Ritmo Rico’ EP is inspired by Colombian flavours and influences, with subtle elements that give it native characteristics that represent both myself and South America. The tracks combine classic house with modern Latin American elements to showcase three versatile dancefloor cuts’’ - Carloh 

Title track ‘Ritmo Rico’ is a swinging number boasting tumbling percussion, alluring lyrics and playful keys, before elastic basslines layered under popping hats, claps, and stirring samples take the reigns in ‘Backlash’. To close, the snaking ‘BBY’ serves up convulsing low-ends, graceful pads and chopped vocals in this slick, rolling cut.

Electronic music pioneer and Poker Flat boss Steve Bug is a name that needs little introduction, as one of Germany's true house masters he has consistently pushed musical boundaries to become a taste maker and trend-setter of a generation. Joining forces once more with regular collaborator Clé for their joint Nu Groove debut, the pair who have been behind a vast number of elite club cuts now deliver 'Let It Go / Suitcase In A Box' for an imprint steeped in house history. Opening with 'Let It Go', ethereal strings and an enriched, buttery vocal are paired with a wickedly deep bassline and acidic synths for a track that sounds like it was ripped straight from a 90s NYC dancefloor, while the accompanying Bassmix offers a headsier, dub-like alternative. 'Suitcase In A Box' is a little tougher in its composition, as Steve Bug & Clé's patented old-school drums and another hefty dose of acid influence are layered upon a relentless beat for a track destined for in-the-know floors.

Legacy of Love

This brilliant remix was originally done as a secret weapon for Subb-an, Noir and a few close dj-friends to play out and surprise the crowds around the globe.
After handing out private copies to a few selected djs we ended up with enormous support on this remix from:
Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Radioslave, Art Department, Pete Tong, Dubfire,
Matthew Dear, Tiefschwarz, Butch, Gorge, Jimpster, Sasha,Reboot, Deetron,
Tim Green, 2000 And One, Catz n' Dogz, Matt Tolfrey, Ryan Crosson and
Nic Fanciulli.

At DC10's closing party at Ibiza the Subb-an Remix was played no less than 3 times and the crowd was ecstatic each time. And after the YouTube video of Seth Troxler & Jamie Jones playing the track that specific night surfaced we have now ended up with a huge buzz and demand for this track to be released.
