This rising talent out of Bucharest, Romania is sure to be heard around the melodic and deep house stages this summer season. Having recently just played Neversea festival as well as Deep In The Backyard alongside acts like Bross, YokoO, El Mundo Lost Desert, Lee Burridge, Adrien, Mohoney, he has a lot of momentum leading into an upcoming release on Nie Wieder Schlafen later this year. His production style is in a constant state of evolution, especially following a life changing experience at All Day I Dream -  Woodstock 69 in 2017 where he discovered a new realm of sound of which to apply his melodic ambitions.

There are those who keep the same face, style, and taste from their childhood, but luckily for us, Rodrigo Pinheiro isn’t one of them. Although he was a beautiful child, those who follow his project know that the Lisbon-based artist has changed a lot since he entered the market and a proof of that is the evolution of his release catalog. Although the artist now hates the track that got him his first radio airplay in the end of 2014, he knows it was an important step for the ripening of his sound and for the launch of his career.
Abandoning his electro house roots, the young DJ & producer dropped out of his first label project, MDT Records, to enter a journey that would lead him to a deeper sound. In early 2017, he finally started putting out his first Tech House & Techno tunes, with some following the Arabic influences that his first tracks had.
After regular appearances on the biggest nightclubs of the Portuguese capital and a summer residence on a beach bar in Algarve, Madd Rod embarked on a new adventure, moving for a semester to the South of Germany. There he met other artists that would inevitably influence his sound. He played in Club 27 and Kuckuck in Tübingen, and launched his new label, Inner Shah Recordings, in December.
After an official launching event of the project in the city that helped him find his sound, it was time to head back to Portugal and hit the studio and Portuguese roads again.

"My life has developed in music, not because of belonging to a family of musicians, but because of belonging to a mellophone family. From the beginning of my childhood I was instructed in the art of listening, an ability that I later reflected in the selected music so I could listen day by day. At 7 years old, my parents gave me the first instrument, the Yamaha called it, a children's keyboard with which I could play all day, trying to give another nuance to the melodies already incorporated in it. After many years, trying to return to that path of the game, I was able to acquire new equipment in order to get to deliver what I am trying to combine, pass or mix. It's been 8 years since I've been playing with sounds. My sounds go from Deep House, Downtempo, Tech Melodic and Progressive Techno."

At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals.

We remember this night. As soon as this set finished at The Monastery we crossed our fingers and really really envisioned this one would be released. It was minutes before a wind storm kicked in and we thought our good thoughts had blown away.. But no. Here we are, together at the beginning on of the good ones.
