Now on Gomma: The solo project of Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem. After years as vocalist and keyboarder in James Murphy's superband finally Nancy comes up with an own project: 4 cover versions of big songs from the 70ies. Produced by some big names of today's electronic scene: Audiojack, Etienne de Crecy, Bonar Bradberry, Drop Out Orchestra and The Revenge.

The first single is a rework of Dennis Parker's Like An Eagle. Audiojack transformed the Disco classic into a melancholic, space techno odyssey. The remix by Toy Tonics acts Black Loops is also a bomb!

Hello listener, This is an updated mix of my cover version of Hot Chocolate's Heaven's in the Backseat of My Cadillac.  
I was playing it live around 2012 when i made a mix and put it up here for a while but later decided to take it down because i thought the mix was a bit rough. Recently a few people got in touch looking to get a copy so I decided to put some work into it before putting it back out there, and that's the story!

What better way to follow up Andy Meecham's (Chicken Lips / Emperor Machine) huge Gino Fontaine originals than a duo of remixes from Balearic chieftains Pete Herbert and Stratus. As one half of Reverso 68 alongside Phil Mison, and in his own right Pete has been behind a ton of mesmerising sunrise and sunset workouts, and he's more than delivered here - crisp and club ready percussion, those stark punk-funkin' guitars and his trademark synth work all conspire to cook up a storm on the floor. Martin Jenkins and Mat Anthony's Stratus outfit (remember their superb "Spring Tide EP" on Aficionado last year?) take a pop at the sublime Konkondo on the flip, and what a masterpiece it is! A ten minute, utterly absorbing and expertly evolving piece, which flips the darker elements of the original into a mesmerising, cinematic, early 90's style Balearic epic.

And now the number of instalments in Permanent Vacation's compilation series, the latest of which features exclusive tracks from the likes of Young Marco, Man Power and Benedikt Frey.

Permanent Vacation 4 is "dedicated to the more beachy side of the dance floor", and we're premiering Alex Burkat's 'Brooklyn Bridge', one of the standout tracks. The New York-via-Philly producer - who's released on imprints such as Mister Saturday Night and 100% Silk - certainly feels right at home here with this dreamy house offering.

The curtain is drawn back to the sound of gentle harps, before the track kicks off properly with punchy drums and an effortlessly bouncy bassline. But the star is Burkat's incredible melodic touch, with a whole series of juicy synth lines competing for your attention.
