Rooted. Grounded. Firm in their meditation on one love and unity that they hope will influence positive change in the next generation, Dre & KJ is the embodiment of musical ingenuity. The duo delivers a brand of reggae that is raw and soulful, sometimes sultry; fresh yet poignantly familiar.

These legends in the making have been on their musical journey since 1999 and have built a reputation for themselves as not only musically talented but also as engaging and loveable performers. 

They call their style “Ragga Royal”—down to earth, relatable, possessing a universality that transcends age, race, class and gender divides.

The musical brothers, Andre “Dre” Waugh and Kreshna "KJ" Jones both started their musical journey in the St Georges College Choir and Performing Arts Troupe; they are both founding members of the internationally acclaimed Nexus Performing Arts Company; and graduates of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts where Dre majored in Vocal Studies and KJ studied Drama.

The duo believes that music is not their “career” but their “calling”. Their music is but a vessel to convey the ideals of one love and unity, which are the teachings of Jah. The pair is currently working on their seven-track EP, “Beware” which will be released in 2018.
