Continuing in the 25th Anniversary celebrations, the next drop sees Brazilian hotshot L-Side step up for his debut CIA Records release. 
The increasingly prolific producer has been on a warpath over the last few years, writing killer tracks at an alarming rate to entrench his name on the drum & bass landscape. 
Setting off the release is a remix of Total Science’s tech layered 2018 track ‘Fallen Angels’, as L-Side captures all the technical groove and old skool snippets from the original, whilst imprinting his own signature stamp. Dialing up the levels on all sides, but still retaining that essential swing and groove, the rework brings the track right into 2021; perfectly primed for soon to be opened dancefloors. 
‘Untouchable’ follows on from the remix; an original production from L-Side that is quintessential CIA, with an infectious vibe that instantly feels at home with the label’s pioneering sound. Haunting chords and sweeping synths are kept in check by tantalizing percussion and above all, a murmuring, chest shaking bassline that is constantly moving, scoping and delving.   Making his mark on the label, L-Side delivers something special to cap off a fearsome first foray.

Dive into the dark, pulsating energy of "Clyde's Dark Reprise," a hardstep drum and bass reimagining of Georgie Fame's classic "The Ballad of Bonnie & Clyde." In this track, I’ve tried to emulate the relentless aggression and precision of Benny L and Bad Company, transforming the iconic tune into a high-octane auditory experience.

Key Elements:

Tempo: Revved up to 174 BPM, maintaining the essence of the original while infusing it with hard-hitting D&B intensity.
Drums: Aggressive and fast-paced drum patterns with punchy kicks and intricate hi-hat sequences, layered with classic breakbeats for a relentless rhythm.
Bassline: Deep, growling basslines with a rolling sub-bass and wobble elements, designed to shake the dance floor.
Melodic Elements: Dark, detuned synths and orchestral stabs reinterpret the original piano and brass melodies, adding a sinister edge.
Atmosphere: Eerie background textures and sound effects create a dark, immersive atmosphere, punctuated by haunting vocal snippets from the original.
Production Techniques:

Heavy use of compression, distortion, and EQ to emphasize the low end.
Layering of multiple elements to add depth and complexity.
Gradual introduction and removal of elements through dynamic automation, enhancing the track's progression.
This track is a testament to the timelessness of the original, reimagined through the lens of contemporary drum and bass. Turn up the volume and let "Clyde's Dark Reprise" take you on a wild ride through the dark side of the dance floor.

NC-17 returns with the ‘All Weapons Out EP’ - 5 blistering tracks featuring collabs with Exile & Dauntless along with a remix from Myth.

For this EP NC-17 took inspiration from some of his favourite film Noire and fused it with a late 90s jungle and dnb flavour.
