Anyone familiar with the long-running and highly-revered Fabric mix series will know that next up is Swiss maestro Deetron and after several listens to his compilation we can confirm that it's an absolute masterclass.

One of the exclusive and brand new tracks within the comp is by another prolific Swiss talent and it doesn't matter what alias Ripperton uses, every one is as technically proficient as the last.

His new track 'Searching 4 U' falls in the first half of Deetron's mix and is sandwiched in-between hefty cuts from Redshape and Greg Beato. As one of the stand-out tracks of the CD we're thrilled to be able premiere the track in full.

Now we have someone who is considered by many to be one of our industry's big dogs, a man who has probably contributed more to our scene and to other superstar DJs' careers than anyone else and someone who has universal respect. We're talking about the mighty Martin Buttrich and to say it's an honour to have the world premiere of his brand new track for Canadian label My Favorite Robot is an understatement!

Roger Sanchez has launched a new label Undr The Radar, which will act as an outlet for his S-Man moniker, and we've got a premiere from the second EP to come via the imprint. 

'2 Close' which features the vocal talents of regular collaborator GTO has been given a club edit by Roger himself and it's fire.

The edit is a rolling and bumping monster that features thick bass notes and delicate melodies, while at the same time giving off a dark and warehouse-inclined feel.

We’re back after a little break and are more than happy to have the talented https://soundcloud.com/rajelrey / Raj el Rey (SWE) with us for the 45th episode of Podcats. 

One foot in dubby, stripped back, Malmö-influenced minimal house, the other in percussive, melodic, Nairobi-influenced deep house. That’s the best way to describe Raj el Rey’s music - with his personal journey and influences shining all the way through.

Having been exposed to electronic music primarily as a raver in Nairobi's growing electronic music scene around 2010, his love for the pulsing 4×4 beats, his keen ear and appreciation for underground music cuts and his growing musical collection soon lead to him making a switch from clubber to DJ. Stepping behind the decks at numerous parties and venues across the city, he
soon became known for his unrelenting groovy selections, sourced through his passion to dig and uncover deep, quirky, and more experimental tracks. 

Now based in Malmö since 2016, Raj continues to make and play music that blends elements from house, dub, disco and techno, applying his experience as
a selector and appreciator of electronic music into crafting sounds that reflect his different influences and background - all the while focusing on a distinct deep underground selection.  In this mix we jump into a journey through some of the style of tunes that Raj like to listen to, outside of what he normally play out at gigs. Starting out with some melodic, soulful chillstep, progressing through more wobbly bass lines, a sprinkling of reggae dub, and finishing off with some liquid drum and bass.

Dread Steppa A.K.A Sheel Dread is a DJ / Producer / Musician / Sound engineer and Artist hailing from Nairobi, Kenya. Originally from Leicestershire, UK he has absorbed the experimental bass flavours of the Uk bass scene and has been engulfed by its vibrant sound system culture. Dread is a founding member of Umojah Sound System and also a Co-director and senior engineer at Frontier Audio East Africa, The main distributer of Funktion-One Research LTD. within the region. He has also been a crucial member in many of the underground movements in Kenya including senior roles in events and programmes such as Midi minds kenya (An electronic music production education platform), Temple Nairobi (The first underground techno event in Kenya), Santuri Academy (An electronic based music education program) just to name a few. After a long hiatus setting up the foundations for experimental music in Kenya, he's back with several releases scheduled for 2024.
