Obtuse Swamp's second ecosystem "Hadal Biocenosis" is the result of two years of sonic exploration by Leipzig-based artist Kontinum. Moving from conventional techno to a more bass-oriented sound, he left his comfort zone and experimented with unusual grooves and textures for this release. The EP is rounded off by two remixes from french dub expert Són du Maquís and fellow Leipzig producer Esgeem.

Tulpa was created during our sixth open demo submission phase where the over 170 members of Aedi were prompted to freely submit one of their tracks.

All submissions were gathered in an anonymous playlist and voted for by everyone in the community. The title and artwork went through similar democratic processes.

Söka was created during a creative challenge in September 2023. The then over 150 members of Aedi were invited to submit samples to our collective cloud library and produce a track using sounds uploaded by others.

The submissions were compiled in an anonymous playlist and voted for collectively, as was the album title and artwork.

Released under the March full moon 2024.
