Wherever Together- Ha:Felt

I wanted to add a section down here to talk about the journey that went behind this mix. As this was my first foray into putting something together and I spent more time confused on what I should add and the direction to go rather than actually putting songs together. The first 20% were done weeks in advance and the last 80% was done while in Cali. I flew out to support a few of my friends who had shows in SF and LA so I found myself putting songs together on the flight, in the dingiest AirBnBs, and on the 8 hour megabus rides between SF and LA and back to SF again. I did a solo trip so I was inspired by night time walks through by the Grove, walking to the nearest In-N-Out, and LA Ktown. I do want to shout out the strangers/new friends I met that took me into their group, showed me around, copped me a meal etc. To top the trip off I made it a goal to finish this before Crush SF which I literally hit . . . the day off LOL. Think of this mix as an East Coaster's journey to the west . . . ehhhh regardless thanks for listening- feel free to bother me here and ask questions about any music stuff always happy to chat :)

If you read this far here are some juicy details:
- The girl singing in the beginning of the mix is my close friend Sumika Inoue shes currently a skilled audio engineer/producer in Japan as well as a music artist
- this took forever to do - I was filming till 5AM the day of the stream
- Celemony's Melodyne saved my ass in post- I haven 't sung in a band in years and I just did these takes without warmups cuz no time
- Guitar Solos all yolo'ed cuz I had no time to rehearse anything
-I think you get the trend I procrastinate A LOT
- In the last take on the last song in its LAST 10 SECONDS I literally fat fingered the pause button so I had to do a quick jump cut in the video and audio to 'seamlessly' blend it
- I had a Kemper Profiler performance rig that I had set for an anime gig, but tone wise it wasn't really suited for the Sakura Strat i used in the video (it was dailed in for a BC Rich Gunsligner with Rockfield Mafia PUs a VERY diff sound then the Dimarzio Rails)
- I multi-tracked the Denon decks, Mic, and Guitar on a Zoom Live Trak (I had to figure out how to record the night of the recording)
- I realized I recorded the DJ mix in Mono so thank god for Izotope's Ozone expanders

This song came out last Friday so I spent my weekend working on this. Enjoy the EDM/Festival ready version of "How You Like That". 

So I've always been a huge Kpop fan. I actually got into producing electronic music from watching Song Mino produce a track in FL Studio from a clip during the Who Is Next Survival Show.  I spent the past few weeks of quarantine really practicing in producing in other genres so when this song dropped I had to jump on it. I had a blast putting this together so enjoy this lit Kpop remix with- Dubstep, Trap, Hardstyle, Psytrance, Jersey Club and more.

My laptop crashed over 20 times trying to get this finished so please enjoy the fruits of my labor LOL.

For all the producers out there- teach me how to psytrance and hard style correctly. This mix down was so hard not only because of balancing instrumentation in the different genre sections, but to keep the frequency balance consistent. But yea my favorite part was the whole classical breakdown style thing. It was a mix of the BBC Strings that just came out with the FLStudio Flex Piano layered onto some serum piano patch as well. I went for a enriched chord breakout basically add 7s and 9s and suspensions then just end it with some harmonic minor run with the good ole slam on the low keys thing for that crashing sound #cueYoshikiXjapan.
