[Cody VCV] Sunflower [Short UTAU Cover]

Ah, my first time trying a different program besides Audacity to mix vocals. It was a great start because that's what had me move there and mix more "professionally."

I wanted to try making a cover with Voicebanks that not many people know. Hence the use of Toku and Mellon.

Creative me even went as far as to make a Melancholic reference because it fit the chords in this song.

If there's something to improve on, it would be to play with different resamplers because Mellon sounded a little choppy, and her rest notes! Yuck! Although, I could fix that now. But I'll leave it as is.

OpenUTAU, Harmonies, and Mixing Test

Yes, I morphed them together. The name of this combo could either be Zunkarin or Karidamon.

About the tuning. I had an SVP of a cover, made with no effort whatsoever, laying around my SVP's folder. It literally just had note-bending and Instant Mode turned on. I finished the first part of the cover and used Instant Mode for Saki AI lite. I turned it off and switched vocals to Karin AI lite.

Then, I borrowed a UST and edited it quick to export vocals for Zundamon.

Finally, I morphed the vocals together and mixed them in this very cover!

I Morphed Zundamon And Karin

This was here for about a few months because of an "thumbnail style". I didn't make it public, haha.

I wanted to post this as soon as I finished it. But I didn't have an image to display for the cover. When I started drawing, I realized that I haven't broke down the side profile of a specific style. Then I thought up a lame excuse to make what's currently displayed. 

I believe in quarter-tonal keys and hope this will put up a new feeling.

hopefully not getting a strike for the first time

anyway, when i was starting this cover, i didn't like her timbre at first. so i switched to karin and finished it. then i rendered the cover 3 times with rikka and the one i started it with, chifuyu.

after mixing and then putting on different vocals, i got surprised to see how chifuyu actually sounds good here.

It's been long enough since I uploaded anything. I wanted to draw something for it. But I had nothing in my mind. So the best I can do (for now) is take a screenshot of part of my USTx and edit it. Also, I'm trying this thing on Soundcloud titles I should've done when posting Vocal Synth covers.

For what I remember, the tuning was inspired by Kola's and KitsuneKi's covers of this song, and I tried to imitate Kola's "vocal style" through a filter and de-essing.
