Dreaming Awake brings forth its first release of 2021 with the gorgeous track "Jaipur" by none other than legendary Belgian producer Pole Folder! On remix duties is another legend who is coming off a huge year in 2020, Australia's Jamie Stevens as well as up and coming producer DIM KELLY (All Day I Dream, Reworck). Each mix gives its own unique interpretation of the stunningly beautiful original mix which is filled with lush pads and ethereal voices. From the club to any sunset or sunrise in nature, this release hits all those lovely spots!

The first release on Dreaming Awake is by Los Angeles homegrown legends Dance Spirit. The duo is known for their prolific releases on labels such as Bedrock, Kindish and Get Physical to name a few. Their track “Gateways” is a deep melodic house track with classic techno sounding chord stabs and a hypnotic groove.

First up on remixing duties is world renowned producer Tone Depth. He knew instantly when he heard the chords of Gateways what he would do with them and his remix is pure Melodic House & Techno gold! A soft take on the chords starts his remix off and then comes his signature melodic synth lead followed by his rolling bass. This remix can work as a peak time track or a sunrise beauty as its got a blissful sound yet a driving groove.

The second remix is the debut track from UK producer Colebrooke. Although this is his first release for this moniker, the man behind the project Chris Hanson is no new comer. He has been a long time music production partner of John Monkman with their Psy Trance project Flip Flop. As Colebrooke, Chris brings forth his love of left field techno and this remix of Gateways is the perfect track to present this new and exciting project to the world

Saeed Younan is a Tech House legend all on his own, but we decided to bring on FIVE other legends of US underground dance music culture to remix him too!!! The writing of this song was a journey through the swell of beautiful and melancholic emotions tied to a love lost. What began as a few simple chords played out on a Fender Rhodes quickly called on the support of synth textures and found sound percussion to set the pace for vocalist Onyay to weave her heartfelt story. The song touches into the tender places of the heart, offering release of that which is no longer ours.

Matanʼs remix translates the feelings of the original into a driving, dark and progressive, trance-leaning hit that would have been surely ready to lift dancefloor spirits and hands in a Pre-Covid world. The angelic vocals of Onyay feel just as ‘at homeʼ over the more aggressive synth lines and pulsating basses as they do in the softer, more delicate original. It offers a wonderfully moody alternative to what the original brings forth.

Pole Folder is a Belgian electronic musician and live club performer, based in Brussels. A former protégée of the highly respected British DJ John Digweed, Pole Folder entered the limelight in 2001 as a DJ and producer at the forefront of the European progressive house movement. His remix of Morning Station brings the track into an organic house feeling with beautiful melody and a unique take on the vocals.

Griffin Paisley in a Los Angeles based up and coming producer who is quickly gaining recognition by many of the world’s top DJs. His remix of Dance Spirit’s track “Deep Intentions” in early 2020 was played by the likes of John Digweed in his bunker sessions and one of Hernan Cattaneo’s all night streaming sets. His remix of Morning Station is a lovely softer interpretation of the track.
