What's up dreamers!

This is our "Back To You" remix which got second place in an Illenium Remix Competition. That's absolutely nuts since for me as a music producer Nick is my biggest idol :) I've studied this mans music for years and years...

I still remember discovering him through the Phoebe Ryan remix which we blasted in a good friends car back in 2015... good old times :) I also remember him winning the "Disarm You" Remix Competition the same year which I also took part in! He absolutely nailed it...(mine absolutely sucked)

Sadly we didn't get an official release for this remix but knowing that Nick heard one of my productions and might even like it is good enough for us! (for now lol)

Hey dreamer! My name is Marvin, and I’m the creator behind “dreaming of cali”. I launched this project in late 2019 with a friend, exploring a range of genres from pop to EDM. After a few years, my partner lost interest, so I decided to continue on my own path.

As a music producer and guitarist, I’m deeply passionate about melodic bass music. Over the years, I've fallen in love with rock, pop, and especially electronic dance music. To me, EDM shines brightest when blended with real instruments, like guitar and piano. I’m also inspired by Middle Eastern instruments, particularly flutes, and love finding ways to integrate their unique sounds into my work for added depth and richness.

For me, music is all about harmony - the perfect fusion of a captivating melody and a meaningful chord progression. When these elements come together, played with the right instruments, they can evoke powerful emotions, often without even needing lyrics.

“dreaming of cali” isn't just about chasing the typical Californian dream. It’s a reflection of my personal journey toward creating a life I'm proud of - one grounded in fulfillment, growth, and authenticity. It’s about building a life that aligns with my values, passions, and ambitions, and ultimately becoming the best version of myself.
