Rose’s 10th EP on Closed Eyes Recordings named “from the Heart” tells a personal story. This EP is all about love and its infinite scope of feelings it triggers. The first track named: What We Do For Love starts out with a dreamy 8 chord progression followed by classic Rose Ringed 16th note baseline and hi-hats. The track is all about the huge break which builds down slowly and then explodes into an ’80s like melody which makes you feel both euphoric and nostalgic at the same time. This is some fist-pumping main stage material and also Rose’s favorite track he produced in his career. 

The Second track named; More Than Anything starts out with a lush sounding 32 bar melody which is followed by a groovy kick and base combination. The tracks build on and surprise with a jazzy solo leading into the break. The melody the tracks start with gets opened up again and switches the song to a melodic baseline instead of a groovy one. The tracks follow a very unusual song structure and has quite some surprises, to rose this is track resembles many aspects of his musical tastes. You can hear his jazz roots in the solo and chords, his love for energy in the baseline, and his love for euphoric inducing moments in all the drops. 

The Third track named Paradise is again very different than the other tracks. With its Big vocal leading into a big drop with a huge sub-baseline the track makes you dream away. As the lyrics tell you, the soundscape feels like a dream-like a paradise. Rose tells us the chords in the track makes him feel very melancholic and made the track for him.

Our next release is a massive 3-track powerhouse, originated by the collaboration between our British friend Santez - who’s featured on 2 previous releases with us already - and the talented Germany based producer GIORG. Being good friends, they have been writing some impressive records together, signing on labels like Toolroom, Great Stuff, Size Records, Under No Illusion - to name a few - and this EP is no different, blending amazing melodies and background vocals with a brilliant percussion work and dirty bass lines.
Lead track ‘Paradox’ is a groove bomb that fits perfectly on those packed club vibes, with claps and crafted synths driving the track through explosive drops multiple times. The side B ‘The Sight’ comes not far behind with a similar peak time style, a dark ambience mixed with subtle vocals and rich sound fx. To seal the pack is another heater ‘Guilt Is Pleasure’, bringing a more synth-driven and drums-heavy atmosphere to the EP.

Desires EP (CER0012) 

Just like his last EP “In Times of Disbelief”, Rose Ringed’s new record “Desires” taps into the rollercoaster of emotions we all have been through over the past months - and those ahead. Nostalgic feelings of love and friendship, but also those of fear and hope for miracles to happen. With this multifaceted EP, consisting of three stand-alone tracks, Rose proves he isn’t afraid of drawing outside the lines sonically. 

“Falling in love” is about the nostalgic moment you fall in love for the first time, including a strong sense of intimacy while looking right into someone’s soul. Hence this record contains a large dose of melancholy and longing. It perfectly hits a sweet spot – that, for many, has been missing over the past year. 

“A Miracle” taps into the optimistic feeling of the wisdom that miracles do actually exist. With lots of energy, Rose combines a heavy baseline and techno beat with a trance-inspired main melody – leaving its listeners with a positive state of mind. 

“We’re Not Finished Yet” spurs a sense of rush and therefore perfectly captures a recognizable state of mind. But instead of focusing on an impending disaster, the record sparks joy. Life goes on and we’re not finished yet – an almost prophetic message offering perspectives for those who are open to it. 

After all, “Desires” consists of nostalgic memories juxtaposed with the unknown. All together it leaves the listener with feelings of hope and acceptance. Hope for a near future full of (new) love, miracles and bursting lives fully lived. But to remain hopeful and to move forward, acceptance of what is now is inescapable. And while acceptance seems harder than ever, Rose Ringed’s new records create space in the mind for both sweet memories and sweet dreams of the future.
