Autumnal Grieving

(for another metapop competition i lost 🙃🙃🙃)

After listening to Nadia's wonderful track I sought inspiration for my remix, funnily enough, it came to me just after waking up, the next day. I was drinking my morning tea when I noticed the light coming in my bedroom window through the blinds. All the little dust particles danced in the light. I wrote a poem about this which served as the basis for my track. 

Purpose Among the Motes

Sun shines in on me,
Sun shines in on me,
basking in the golden rays,
the dust and I—celebrate

Joyously, Joyously, 
It's all better now,
Your hair is still young, to me

I was starting to get defeated,
Now, with this moment, it 
All Makes Sense;

All the lost love,
All this faded joy,
It means something.
 
There is a reason for me.
There's reason for, Me.

The vocals for my track are based on this poem, with some small additional improvisations, and the track in general is my attempt to translate the moment the poem is based on into a new medium.
