hauntingly beautiful my man! I love the quote too! not sure if intended to be literal or more allegorical, but a beautiful idea. Personally I am very disturbed by the way nature is set up---Carnivore predation etc and the fact that the Darwinian nature of nature is so cruel. To me, that's the real dark enigma. I suspect that evolution is a lot broader than any scientist knows or would want to speculate about. It's kind of interesting that from a scientific standpoint, consciousness itself is maybe the only aspect of nature that, in the purest, strictest sense, simply cannot be explained in terms of anything else.
