In order to raise awareness of the needs of indigenous peoples, we are happy to be part of this great initiative and to join forces with our amazing colleagues from different parts of the world to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. 
 Indigenous peoples are inheritors and practitioners of unique cultures and ways of relating to people and the environment. They have retained social, cultural, economic, and political characteristics that are distinct from those of the dominant societies in which they live.  
 Covid-19 and its consequences are keeping the whole world on alert. For more than a year now, we have been seeing new waves of outbreaks in several countries and regions of the world. In this sense, 500 million indigenous people, in urban or rural areas of the planet are also at risk because of their social vulnerability. The risk of indigenous genocide in the midst of the pandemic is dizzying and can have serious consequences since viruses and diseases of this type have contributed to reducing the world's indigenous population over the centuries.

Thus, several podcast channels have joined forces to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. This with a focus on donations for indigenous peoples affected by Covid-19 in Brazil led and managed by 'United for a Living Amazon', a volunteer movement made up of citizens and non-governmental organizations that have been working in the Amazon for decades, united for a common and urgent cause. As the night was turning into dawn and the first gleam of light landed on the trees I was already in the middle of my morning run advancing deeper into the woods and immersing myself in the mysterious atmosphere of the wakening forest with its magical sounds sharpening slowly from all around. Gently coming in synch with my steady motion and breath the music was everywhere, inspiring my conscious mind to travel beyond the visible and connect with the Soul of nature. I could feel my reality changing its shape as I was floating by majestic pine trees and witnessing the forest gracefully reveal its enigmatic beauty. I was there and I was somewhere else, in a parallel dimension, meditating my way through the eternal elements of life, feeling inspired and recharged.

Don Mescal, is a Montreal-based electronic DJ & Producer with more than 20 years of experience. He can be seen as a magician of musical diversity, a character full of energy & love, who has a huge repertoire of songs that will catch your senses and awakens your emotions. Inspired by folkloric multiculturalism, he loves to experiment with the traditions of world music and knows how to transfer it into a modern perspective to brew an electronic-music-elixir with that extra drop of mescal flavour. His unique musical voyage combines a well-selected myriad of styles from Folktronica, Rub-a-Dub, Jungle & Tribal with a joyfully flamboyant vibe. In addition Don Mescal is the co-founder of Cosmovision Records, a collective created by a mix of immigrants from Latin America, Europe and locals from Canada, based in Montréal.
