Every ever so often special talent comes along with a charismatic voice. Trinidadian reggae singer "Michael Williams" is a special talent and a charismatic vocalist. Williams says he sings God’s melodies and chose, most appropriately, the name JAMELODY. Like reggae’s defining vocalist Dennis Brown, JAMELODY’s vocal style bridges R&B, Pop/Rock, Gospel to Reggae.

MIRIAM SIMONE (Surinam)
Miriam Simone is a female reggae artist hailing from Amsterdam and now resident in Surinam. She started to sing at the age of four. Simone was influenced by gospel, soul and reggae. At the age of thirteen she sang with several bands and church choirs in Amsterdam. Later she joined Dutch group Dredda Youthz, but in 2010 decided to launch her solo career and co-founded Dredda Records. Her 2012 debut EP entitled ‘Follow My Dreams’ enjoyed rotation on Jamaican television and cable networks. This year she will release her debut album ‘Mount Zion’, already promoted with ‘Rivers’ and Lutan Fyah’s collaboration “His Kingdom Arise”.

I would like to start the year of on a good note. 
Suriname is going through a difficult time and I would like to offer some encouragement. 
That's why I am releasing this song called “Born in Suriname”. 
I will never forget where I came from. 
I carry Suriname in my heart and am proud to let the whole world know where I'm from. 
In this song I sing about the pride and beauty of the Suriname culture, hence the title of the song "Born in Suriname".
This song was written after I heared a cry for help from the Delaiah Family Foundation during a radio interview. 
It touched me and I decided to write a song for them during my visit to Suriname. 
The song was written in English in order to reach as many people as possible and to show them the beauty of Suriname. 
The ultimate goal is to collect as many funds as possible on behalve of the “Delaiah Family Foundation”.
