Weeks after two recent releases of features (“K.O” with producer Hotwork and “Put Your Lips Like This” with Sylow ((Spirit Soul Records), Dree Mon returns with her newest single “When it Goes Down,” a pop gem that hints at the disco & funk moments she is known for, while keeping an ultra modern front. As her history as a professional dancer goes, creating jams that make you move is a sure bet, and this time, she’s combined her dancey vibe with the relatable and personal account of balancing one’s career and private life. Written with fellow artist and Producer Josh Collopy, this song was born out of their very conversation about who would be there for them in those moments when worlds turn upside down and chaos takes over, as it inevitably does in the pursuit of a dream. This song was co-produced by Simon Jacobson (KREAM, iamsimon), mixed by Jason Haag and mastered by Reuben Cohen (Lurrsen Mastering).
