French schzyophrenic techno producer and dj since 2002, Letherique is a well-known activist in Strasbourg through his radioshows and his new label Bella Ursa. Never afraid to embrace his multiple influences, this bastard child of Mad Mike and John Carpenter delivers for Tripalium Corp a six-tracks-EP of dystopic techno, oscillating between dark and cinematic soudscapes, slimy experimentation and a touch of cheekiness.

PREMIERE : Letherique - Frying Saucer [DMS042]

The ‘Emergence’ series was the first fully-fledged project of Bella Ursa's head honcho @letherique , aimed at experimenting with the boundaries of his many influences – no matter if its techno, disco, electro, or ambient. It helped forge his identity through much trial and error and ultimately led to the creation of the Bella Ursa imprint.

As now is the time to finally move forward in peace, we thought it would be nice to release a mixtape compiling all these early works, along with a few extra and unreleased tracks. To make this collection complete, he entrusted many of his friends met over the years with each producing a remix of their choice. Harnessing the power from a multitude of different scenes, ‘Emergence Remixed’ offers a brand-new journey into uncharted horizons, where Morodesque disco meets mind-altering electro-jazz and cinematic delights reminiscent of Lalo Schifrin’s soundtracks.
It will be released digitally on all platforms, but also on a cassette inside a beautiful smoked UV printed case, which assembles with the first part of the collection.

Phase 1 of the Bella Ursa mothership is now complete.

Operative since 2019, Rennes-based, French Coldwave trio DEPHT MOD (@depht_mod), made of Mimmo + Reff.K + Thdr [@mimmo-assi-nf + @antonin-lecreff + @thdrmusic], are going to drop their second EP, "Catch the Blue", out February 22 via Tripalium Corp.(@tripalium-corp.)

Sometimes smooth and suave, sometimes aggressive, their music is a perpetual motion, an ever-changing world, a meeting between the flesh and the machines. Composed with much improvisation, made up with 80s Synthwave, Industrial Techno and Italo Disco, their hypnotic sound loops and harrowing voices have the smell of sweat and poetry. Inspired by Bataille, Baudelaire and Ballard amongst many others, these songs are talking about quests, desires, energies, meetings.

WL//WH is pleased to premiere the ceremonial, haunted and electro-inflected title track, “Catch The Blue”.

Remixes by Harsh R, MAN2.0, Noform, Penelope’s Fiance and swærm, are combining downtempo, dark electro and body techno, creating an eclectic release by bringing unique atmospheres to each track.

Produced in several phases, the EP was inspired by natural sounds mixed with mighty textures, a clever combination reworked in studio to get the best out of each mix: “I took advantage of an isolation in the countryside to refine each piece. During this period, I made sure that my music was not biased by any outside influence.
