BIO:
DREN came into being in early 2018 as a creative outlet for the duo Natt and Akton, who are producers/DJs hailing from Tri City in northern Poland. They started their collaboration based on a shared fascination with black metal and jazz music and this eclectic taste is ever present in their productions, DJ sets and podcasts. First months of 2019 will bring „time & form” - DREN's debut album, which will be released on both physical (LP/CD) and digital formats courtesy of Gdansk's industrial/ritual/dark ambient label Zoharum.

"Time & Form" is the debut of the duo hailing from Tri-City. The material was recorded at the turn of April and May 2018, shortly after Natt and Akton gave birth to DREN. 
The music on the album is characterized by stylistic eclecticism. Over the course of eight electronic works, you can hear strong influences of industrial, ritual sounds and widely understood "bass music". From the first beats of "Time" to the last bass breath of "Terminus", DREN spreads a dark aura around the listener. Dense, heavy atmosphere hovers above the unobvious, mechanical, yet ritual rhythms.

BIO:
Born and bred in Tricity - northern Poland, Natt has been producing and DJ-ing since 2009 being a strong representative of seaside drum and bass scene. In 2018 he cofouned DREN project (alongside with Akton) what resulted in moving him towards more experimental sound scapes. 
Natt is constantly searching and developing his style as a producer and being avid enthusiast of Black Metal you can clearly hear this influence being incorporated into his broken beat and heavy bass musical structures.

Italian techno, via London, takes center stage for the 196th instalment of Global Vibe Radio as we welcome Tales Collective Founders and Superstition residents Tapefeed for a one-hour sonic exploration of their project.

The London-based, Italian-bred techno duo Tapefeed, namely Alessandro Boni and Rick Vayo have been establishing their powerfully apocalyptic broken-beats techno in the London scene before taking their characteristically raw percussive sounds onto the international dance music circuit. This ever-evolving sound comes as the pinnacle of years of musical experience: Alessandro’s as a music and art director, event organiser and avid music listener, and Rick’s as a drummer in rock bands as well as his studies in production. 

Their first vinyl release in 2017 “Dawn on The Eclipse” on Metempsychosis Records including a Vril remix kickstarted a year that launched Tapefeed on the international scene with bookings like Printworks (London) Tresor and About Blank (Berlin) as well as Gem Fest (Georgia) and Elsewhere and Basement in New York City. 2019 has also seen Tapefeed’s behind-the-scenes creative processes take a steady leap forward with the transformation of their audio-visual project Tales Collective (@t-a-l-e-s)into a record label and hold a residency for Superstition at Village Underground since the beginning of 2018. 

With their stamina and relentless need for innovation, Tapefeed are always evolving, creating and looking out for their next sonic journey.

~Biography~
Mighty Mini The Melody Maker aka Mark Matthew
Mighty Mini– is an emerging artist that epitomises the spiritual soul. What he lacks in stature is certainly made up by his energy and enthusiasm as well as his charm. Mighty Mini, being the ultimate performer, has the ability to elicit an overwhelming sense of love and warmth through his passion of singing.
Background and Career Progression
Mighty Mini was born in the UK and is of mixed Caribbean heritage (his father from St. Kitts and mother from Barbados). His great-grandmother was a pianist and some of his cousins formed a band “Eli Matt and the GI Brass”. 
Music, it appears, has always “played” a fundamental part of his upbringing and from which he has greatly benefited. He has been blessed with musical talent - yearning to play the clarinet at the tender age of three, his father sent him to Eli at the age of seven and within six months he was a natural on the saxophone! Soon after, having spent a year at a jazz and blues music school, he became the lead saxophonist in a 12 piece band. 
As well as playing the saxophone, Mighty Mini had also started singing, rapping and song-writing. His other interests included acting, dancing and directing as well as appearing in plays at the Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich. As an adult Mighty Mini embarked on a course to become a “Music Instrumental Facilitator”. This proved to be invaluable in the youth work he was involved with. Being so musically passionate he has since organized and facilitated courses for music workshops for young people, including those with special needs and learning difficulties – all of which have been very successful and one such workshop that born the lyrics for “Got You Back” produced by 80 Grit Scratch. Other projects Mighty Mini has been involved in – a short film “The Truth Tells my Story” He also collaborated on a double album portraying both the negative and positive sides of grime music/society. The best received tracks from the album were “Jungle Heaven”, “Don’t Stand in my Path”, “Medicine Woman” and “Wot Do I Do?”
The Voice
Mighty Mini has a unique voice that is both captivating and mesmerizing. As his lyrics effortlessly flow from lips, one would feel as if the song was written especially for the individual – a personal tribute say. He is a truly gifted and diverse artist – performing music from several genres such as jazz, reggae, and funk to name but a few in order to reach as many people as possible. His exceptional quality is being able to hold the audience lovingly in the palm of his hand and blessing them with his music.
