This is the recording of my DJ set at Berghain on sunday morning 6th of February 2011, between 8 and 12am. Deep respect to Stroboscopic Artefacts for having me as part of the line-up, the Berghain crew for being the perfect hosts and last but not least that massive pack of dancing nutters on the floor (especially the Belgian delegation present for the occasion). VSSR always aims at keeping a constant flow while mixing new tracks with older ones, characterized by funky basslines, vocals & tribal grooves. With his tracks, DJ sets and ANTIDOTE events, he wants to make people dance and give them a great time on the dance floor.

A live recording is always more energetic and I think that's how you can listen to what a dj can truly do and see the amount of skills that an artist possess.

As he said to me, he is playing lots of old school tracks with a good amount of unreleased stuff combined together to treat us with 1+ hour of mind-blowing music that is a perfect fit for the vision i have for the Renegade project.

Love, peace and unity – the famous words of a movement that very much attracted Rove Ranger as a child to electronic music. Listening to early Schranz and Techno back then, it is no wonder that the sound of Rove Ranger is defined by fast-paced percussions and high energy.
Starting out as a producer in late 2007, he extended his musical spectrum over the years from EBM and Industrial to the likes of modern Techno. Always striving in musical variation, he started Rove Ranger aside his previous projects in early 2019 by focusing on sounds who he admired back as a child. Rough, dirty and compromiseless rhythms coupled with hypnotic melodies are just a few words to describe his vision of techno, of which he makes no exception on as a music selector too.
Since 2019 he is also part of the VISION EKSTASE techno collective with its origins in Stuttgart. Together, he and his friends create events, art and music free of any conventions with great success. Breaking the rules and exploring new grounds is what defines VISION EKSTASE as well as Rove Ranger.

Chief operator of 2007-established techno flagship Token, Ghent-based DJ, producer and label owner Kr!z has become a crucial driving force in the ever-challenging world of club-dedicated wares over the past decade. Having pushed key material from the cream-of-the-crop of today’s 4x4 exponents including Inigo Kennedy, Ø [Phase], Luke Slater, Marcel Dettmann, Blawan, Surgeon and many more, the many-sided Belgian groove manipulator recently began his journey as a sound-maker, releasing his debut solo EP ‘Mantra’ in 2019, followed by ’Scorpion’s Tail’ earlier this year.
