A Virgo Vignette

Pools in your brown eyes...
Deeper than the oceans heart...
I dive in and drown.

Memories of us plunging into love still come to mind, 
Sometimes smiles, sometimes frowns..

Yeah it’s been a while since we last got down,
Cruising through the Cali coast, sliding through your town

Through the city, through the state, on my way down quick like a fire escape 
You used to roll up to my hood just to feel that H-Town quake...

Make no mistake, I used to do this all for you 
for me 
for us 
for we. 

Endless possibilities 
as far as the eye can see... 

Maaan, now I just let you be.


I spend my days thinking if I made the right decision,
Let you go so I can try and chase the dreams that I’ve envisioned.


Just can’t handle limits on myself, I think it’s been a blessing in disguise 
Been able to find that inner peace and happiness when insecurities would arise. 


Was it such a selfish move to try and focus on myself?
Knew I’d be the bad guy since the jump, realizing I’d placed this limit on myself?

Yet, 
I see that Virgo vignette every time I look up at the moon,
“El Mundo es Tuyo” written in the stars, looking forward to see you soon.


But time heals all wounds, either flesh or through the figures,
My elevation required my isolation to reach full potential as a winner.

Knew that it was time to turn around and start walking towards the light, 
As the sun sets down at Butterfly Beach, it’s that same urge I try to fight.

That same urge I try to fight within to keep me from that bottle,
Now I just look at a full life ahead with no damn brakes, the motto’s now full throttle.


Man, I’m thankful for these types of struggles because they led me towards my strengths, 
And helped me realize finding true love is way more valuable than all the money in your banks..


You see we fell hard in this love trap that hurt us both as you can tell,
but still every time I hear your name, it rings like issa bell....
