August Alsina ft. Curren$y - Let Me Hit That

Amsterdam Zuidoost; broedplaats voor gigantisch veel talent, thuishaven van Dret & Krulle. Voor het eerst te horen met rap collectief ‘VaderLozeTroepe’ (VLT), momenteel actief als duo.

De eerste kennismaking gaat terug naar 2003, toen VLT de show stal met ‘Meer Vuur!!!’ op de alom geroemde Bijlmerstyle compilatie ‘De Straten van Zuid-Oost’. De carriere van Dret & Krulle kwam in een stroomverstelling terecht en het volgende wapenfeit was daar: “Bloed op de Track”, op de inmiddels derde Bijlmerstyle compilatie “Het Ondergronds Koninkrijk”.

Volgende horde werd de Grote Prijs van Nederland, die met overtuiging mee naar Zuid-Oost werd genomen. Tegelijkertijd kwam de EP “New Skool MC’s” uit. Meer dan 100.000 downloads, een heuse hit en twee veelvuldig bekeken videoclips verder, verdienden de heren twee nominaties voor de State Awards. Namelijk die van ‘Beste Live Act’, en ‘Beste Studiosessie’.

Na zowat alle podia te hebben gehad, alsmede de grote festivals, hebben Dret & Krulle bewezen dat hip-hop uit de Bijlmer niet alleen springlevend is, maar zelfs toonaangevend voor de rest van Nederland. Kortom; Dret & Krulle, een energiek duo, met stampende beats, spitsvondige lyrics en strakke live optredens.
