Mate, this is one of the best Dj sets I've heard in years.. Oh, you know how long? SINCE YOU CAME TO PLAY IN MELBOURNE FOR US :P  I miss you man!  I miss your music! I want you down here again.  I'm trying to organise it.

This mix represents a culmination of changes within that have taken place since the end of last year, and a host of inner messages and awakenings that I wish to share with everyone. Riding on the beautiful recent trip to GIli Islands, I have been deep in the mix for more than 2 months to concoct the cacophony of sounds, mantras and consciousness elevating influences from different cultures and realms. I have always said that music serves a higher purpose of healing and elevating, and this is the primary thrust of the mix. This mix shall immerse you on a journey like no other through the sacred vibrational flows of sound. Ultimately, this also signifies the underlying purpose of darkness as an honest palette to the realisation that we are all beings of light, capable of spreading much needed divinity to the world.

Indeed, there has been a fundamental change in the primary emotions and energy used to create this mix. Previous driving forces of anger and destruction have been replaced by compassion, spirituality and hypnotic wonder. 

This mix will serve as a reflection of the quest for greater meaning and purpose in our lives - The search for dharma and reason for being. The understanding of greater forces out there that can serve as our spiritual compass. The peaceful understanding of Oneness amidst diversity. The appreciation of beauty that manifests in different forms. The sacred wisdom  of Buddha, Vedic philosophy, ethnic cultures, scriptures and religions. The notion of peace across humanity when we let go of negative emotions/things/people and appreciate the beauty of all. The awakening of an inner understanding of immense power within, with boundless connections to the universe. The concept of being in flow and activation of your Chakras. The grand duty of serving and helping humanity achieve this state of peace and higher consciousness. Listen to this wherever and use it to dance, groove, work, meditate, reflect or do yoga.

We are all spiritual beings having a human experience through the mind - body vehicle. The soul is eternal, a part of the universe, experiencing human experiences through the human body. The cycle of life and death ensures that we come from the same source. We are more than what we appear to be. Ethereal Transformation (6 hour Prognosis for the soul)

Sek Sheng, also known by his artist name ‘Dr Foo’, is a sound meditation facilitator, musician and DJ who holds space and prescribes music for healing and integration of deeper aspects of the self. He has immersed in and been trained in sound healing, yoga, meditation and music production in an ever evolving journey in the past 10 years.

Dr Foo believes that sound is a universal language that can re-awaken our innate power and connection with all, and serve as a fun yet sacred medium for healing and understanding. His journeys emphasise the importance of owning our darkness before true healing and expansion can occur.  

His sound healing journeys interweave live therapeutic instruments (singing bowls, harp, melodic drums etc) with electronic music (hypnotic synths, binaural beats), nature sounds, ethnic music and mantras across cultures. It is a reflection of his journey starting as an underground club DJ in Melbourne to immersing in yogic journeys in India & Bali, and then realising the power of sound for therapy.  

In recent years he has curated soundscapes for yoga and meditation events, full & new moon sound healing journeys as well as ecstatic/conscious dance events.
