"Superfreak is in a lot of ways a culmination of the different genre styles that have contributed to the Dr. Fresch brand from day one until now. As in many of my works, I draw a stark contrast between the emotions and sounds in the breakdown versus the drop, but tie these radically different sounds together with just a few key elements - in this case those elements happen to be the disco / funk synths I used, which I felt (along with the sample obviously) contributed to the title “Superfreak”. I kept the track at 105BPM to preserve the integrity of Baby E’s verses (and the original of course), so my instrumental perspective became a crossbreed between slowed-down G-House and indie electro. My goal with “No Love” was to take elements of 90’s Hip Hop and R&B and place them within the context of my “Future Ghetto” style. I chose to sample TLC because “No Scrubs” is a true staple of 90’s R&B culture, and I wanted to see how vocal elements from the classic could convey a different vibe when paired with deeper instrumentation. I think the marriage between UK House style basses, trap percussion and TLC’s vocals offers an incredibly unique, novel and emotional take on R&B -  I hope my fans dig this one!

"I've been in love with Destructo's 'Techno' since the first time I heard it - I think midtempo electro and deeper indie dance are taking off, and I wanted to give the original my own rework. I liked how Destructo grabbed the sample from Eminem's 'Without Me', and decided to use more of that sample to build the song around. I kept the tempo at 112BPM, but decided to get more complex and weird with my bass arrangement - I hope my Fresch Fam love this remix as much as I do!"

The Hood” came from a concept I had for a track that was equally cinematic and club ready. I wanted the intro of “The Hood” to put the listener in a police chase scene from a movie - like the intro to ‘Straight Outta Compton’. Beyond that I wanted the song to capture elements of modern G-House and Bass House as well as mid 2000’s Electro - a representation of both the music that populates the scene today and the music that got me into the scene 10 years ago. I’m excited to push boundaries on this release and for the world to hear “The Hood”!
