A six-note pattern that is looped and then played live over top of the loop. Variance in tempo of the live overdub generates trippy patterns and hypnotic effects. If you find this tedious, skip about 11 minutes in. A melody is introduced and then it rocks out.

My very first recording made with 100% Bleat.  The "Bleat" was a block of wood with several things mounted to it, such as handheld cassette recorders, a shortwave radio, a mixer and a noise gate.  But the true heart and soul was a old analog Ibanez UE-405 multi-effects unit which I fed back into itself.  It can make an astonishing array of different sounds, and I'm still discovering new sounds on it today, over 15 years since I got it.  No synthesizers were used anywhere on this record.  The sounds on this piece, and almost everything else on this album, were generated entirely by that unit.
