Today, we’re very pleased to welcome Italian-born, Berlin-based Midgar boss, Severja. Jacopo has been blending art and music for the past two decades. As the founder of Midgar label, he oversees both artist curation and visuals, and he's also part of Monument’s design and booking team.

His journey spans Europe, Asia, and Australia, including a stint in Taipei during the pandemic, and he's gained a reputation for hosting some of Berlin’s most talked-about parties.

For Osmura, he delivers a unique set — starting at 180 BPM and gradually slowing down through ambient and trippy dub techno, before ramping back up with d’n’b and murky steppers.

Next up at Markham we’ve got a mix from the ever busy/ever thoughtful basic chanel. Employing a wide range of Newtonian physics, this mix comes through at a mind bending tempo. Hinting at breaks, psy trance, and dubstep, listeners are allowed to enjoy all the cakes instead of settling for one silly flavour. basic chanel’s tenure at the reigns of Untitled909 have brought many an influence to her craft… something that shines through in this one hour mix. We could not imagine a more fitting Podcast Series contribution to soundtrack the peak of our of summer than this lush dubby mix recorded by the New York via Chicago DJ & productress Eden Aurelius 🦋

Back in April last year, the inaugural record on the Glaswegian label co:clear lands in the crates at Phonica Records and it steals the show. It was the debut release by Eden Aurelius titled ‘Plateau’ with it’s soft-edged downtempo take on dub techno dancing through clouds of ambient textures and perfectly embodying that netherworld in between ambient and dance music that is the beating heart of Introspective Electronics. Over a year later, we are so grateful and proud to have Eden feature on our Podcast Series with this stunning hour-long recording 💕

Nothing else to do now but to plunge into the dubwise depths of this magick mix where tender energy ebbs and flows in the spaces between not-quite-ambient and not-quite dance. It’s in the liminal space of the soft cracks in between. Aren’t you curious to hear? ✨
