Drift in de Papierfabriek komt dichterbij. Op 19 april transformeert deze nieuwe locatie in een dampende ravekathedraal, met niemand minder dan Marcel Dettmann achter de decks. Een naam die diep verweven zit in de geschiedenis van Drift.

Met zijn terugkeer in het vooruitzicht doken we de archieven in. En daar vonden we goud: zijn set op Herfstdrift 2014. Marcel Dettmann leverde een set af die in ons collectieve geheugen gegrift staat. Een moment dat de tent deed kolken – en elf jaar later met jullie gedeeld mag worden.

Darling is het alter ego van dj en producer Anton Pieëte, en betekent een nieuw thuis voor de producer die ooit een van de grote namen in de gloriedagen van de minimalscene in Amsterdam was. Met Darling heeft Pieëte een frisse basis gecreëerd waar aanstekelijke klassieke elektronica van het analoge soort in voorkomt. Ga er rustig voor zitten en check zijn podcast. Een kleine poging voor de nieuwsgierigen: het is geen house, het is geen techno en ook geen mellow. Des te meer reden om hem te beluisteren.

Roeland Otten, beter bekend als Afrobot, steekt zijn liefde voor muziek niet onder stoelen of banken. Als sinds de jaren '90 gooit hij hoge ogen met zijn gevarieerde dj-sets en obscure producties en runt hij mede het ongekende disco label Salamanca. In aanloop naar zijn optreden op Herfstdrift, vroegen we Roeland om ons alvast op te warmen met een fraaie podcast. Most of the sessions aren’t playable because there’s generally quite a bit of starting and stopping, but this particular recording lasted almost an hour.
