The title “Hab Dich Lieb” could be translated literally to “I Like You” and reflects on what we want to convey with this release. We want to redirect the focus to matters that often fall short in the hectic of everyday life.

We dedicate this moment to artists that deserve a platform, to our friendships, that deserve love and cherishing, but also to people who live at the margins of society. Many of them are in danger and on the verge of disappearing out of our sight and consequently deserve more attention.

For these reasons, the profits of this compilation and the individual tracks will be split 50/50 between each artist and multiple organisations who advocate for the underprivileged and a better future.

This November, American cult hero Dev/Null debuts on Trickfinger & Aura T-09's Evar Records with MICROJUNGLIZM, an 8-track album that explores the power and beauty of darkcore, jungle tekno and breakbeat rave. Chopped drums, hairpin turns and alluringly emotional pads open up a time portal between the past and the future, decorated with haunting samples and musical Easter eggs that show off Boston-based Dev/Null's deep history as a rave historian and scholar.

MICROJUNGLIZM's fantasy suite was written over the last year, arranged and sequenced entirely without a computer. Dev/Null fell in love with Teenage Engineering's PO-33 Pocket Operator – a portable, pocket-sized sequencer that he started using during his DJ sets to create special versions on the fly. The limitations of making entire tracks inside the PO-33 immediately suggested the sampling techniques and stylistic hallmarks of early jungle, already one of Pete's longtime obsessions.

"The PO-33 has some of the same low-fi sonic charm as retro gear used back in the day," Pete explains. "8-bit samples, 11khz mono sound, kind of like an Amiga computer. It's been really fun and exciting to have my own tracks to throw into sets – even if they're raw, unfinished 3-minute things which get played once and never again. A few of these tunes were done for my sets at parties thrown by Aura T-09 in L.A., so I'm happy they're coming out on her label."

While these tracks may seem maximal, they are minimal to Pete's ear – a departure from the intricately sliced and information-dense breakcore for which he's known. The album emotionally bottles the essence of a bygone era with an individual palette of influences, from UK grime anthems to Italian horror soundtracks. Pete is not merely trying to tap into the cultural zeitgeist for all things jungle and breakbeat rave – he's already been here, stoking the fires of this scene since the early 2000s with his tastemaker blog (Blog to the Old Skool), his cult vinyl reissue label 8205 Recordings, and his deep dive radio shows: Demon Poetry on NTS and BTTO (with new-era jungle torchbearer Tim Reaper) on Jungletrain.net. MICROJUNGLIZM itself follows on from the momentum created by Pocket Selector, Dev/Null's 2020 outing with the PO-33 on the Modern Urban Jazz label, run by veteran UK drum 'n' bass producer Justice.

It’s natural since his young age that, LU2K, his dj & producer alias, was experimenting music through electronics and finding his way into bass, hardcore or breaks. After years spent behind the drums, he is now spreading his music in the Electronic scene with his unique sound and aesthetic.
LU2K carries a strong musical background and culture, but also an energy that is demonstrated on any dance floor, through his last releases and Dj sets.

BIG DOPE P is a London-based, Paris-born artist known for his unique production style blending Ghetto House, Electro Funk, Footwork, and Rap, emerging as one of Europe’s premier DJs and producers in his field. Touring worldwide and working with some of the biggest names in both dance music and rap, including Basement Jaxx, Kaytranada, Duck Sauce, Rustie, Pusha T, Maya Jane Coles, Todd Edwards, Thys from Noisia, and more... His signature sound blends footwork, house, hip-hop, and electro, creating dynamic and memorable tracks that punch hard and linger long in the memory.

He co-founded the iconic MOVELTRAXX imprint when he was 16, which releases the best Juke/Footwork, Ghetto House, and Jersey Club music since 2007 with records from DJ Earl, Paul Johnson, Traxman, Dj Tameil, or DJ Rashad, to name a few. Dope P was also released on other prestigious labels like Local Action, Fool's Gold, Ed Banger, LuckyMe, Nervous, Ninja Tune, and OWSLA.

After a string of successful EPs and singles, P released his debut album in late 2021. Mehlish featured collaborations with a wide range of singularly talented artists, including TT The Artist, DJ Slugo, Karlito (from legendary French rap band Mafia K'1 Fry), Mighty Mark, DJ Jayhood, Feadz, and more.

Dope P is currently releasing a new series of singles ("Stomp Yo Ass" feat. Katie Got Bandz, "Ride With Me" and "Can't Control Myself," feat. Reija Lee), leading to his sophomore album being released early in 2024.

Mars89 is a musician whose uncompromising electronic compositions have cemented him as one of the most unique and exciting prospects within Tokyo’s underground club circuit, but his contribution to the city’s culture extends far beyond the dancefloor.

Since moving to Tokyo in his late teens in 2008, Mars89 has established himself as someone whose creative output—in all its shapes and forms—provides a vital perspective on the vicissitudes of living in one of the most populous urban metropolises in the world.

His discography to date is a bricolage of styles, channeling the guttural, sub-bass-infused body music from UK dubstep’s heyday and the mutant rhythms of Bristol’s signature bass music scene—some of Mars89’s foundational musical influences—as well as the auteurs of cinema, from Kubrick to Lynch, and, specifically, their unparalleled flair for all things eerie, abject, and uncanny. In his arsenal, he possesses tracks that can immediately ignite the latent energy of a heaving club crowd, as well as ambient compositions that transport listeners into unsettling alien landscapes evocative of sci-fi dystopias and biotechnological collapse. It’s his ability to weave seamlessly between the two that sets him apart as an artist who ultimately uses his sensibilities to design entire worlds, and this is also reflected in his boundary-pushing VR explorations with the label Bokeh Versions and collaborations with designers like Patrick Savile.

Outside of music, Mars89 has collaborated with fashion brand Undercover's Jun Takahashi on a collection that deconstructed military garments, making them into a powerful anti-war statement in true punk spirit, as well as releasing a record through the brand. The latter referenced the show soundtrack he had created for Undercover’s AW19 collection and featured remixes by Thom Yorke, Zomby, and Low Jack, whom he had played alongside at the Takahashi-curated installment of Virgil Abloh’s club night, Sound Design. All three of the artists signed up for remix duty immediately upon request, demonstrating how highly regarded Mars89 is by his global contemporaries.

Mars89 is also a key figure within Tokyo’s activist community, spearheading an anti-establishment ‘Protest Rave’ that has seen sound trucks drive through some of the city’s most iconic vistas while blasting out hard techno, galvanizing Tokyo’s youth into new, emergent strands of political engagement.

Anna Fruit is an explorer of the universe of sounds and the relationships between music and people. A.Fruit’s music reflects her inner world and her emotional interactions with the outer world. She has been addicted to bass music production since starting over 10 years ago and now works as a professional sound designer and audio engineer, working to create sounds of the highest quality.
Anna Fruit was born in 1989 in Moscow, Russia (USSR at the time) into a Ukrainian family and is now based in Barcelona, Spain. Her passion for music began in childhood; at school, she played the guitar and sang her own songs to friends. In 2008, while studying sociology at Moscow State University, she discovered Ableton Live, and it changed her life. She started making music and decided to get a second education as a sound engineer to improve her craft. In 2012, Anna graduated from the university and simultaneously completed her certificate in audio engineering. Then, for some years, she worked as a sound technician on TV channels, in parallel with continuing to produce electronic music. A.Fruit found her 160 bpm-focused sound somewhere in between her longtime loves of drum n bass, jungle, hip-hop, and especially footwork. Her professional music career began in 2015; since then, A.Fruit has released six EPs (two of them on vinyl) and more than 30 original tracks and remixes on compilations worldwide. Her music has also appeared on labels including Med School and Hospital Records, Teklife, Hyperboloid, Worst Behavior Records, and more. Outside of her own music, A.Fruit creates sound effects and music of other genres for PC games (Gremlins, Inc., Skyforge, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, and others) and provides digital mastering for such labels as Hyperboloid (RU), Black Marble Collective (US), Pure Spark Records (JP), and others. Since 2023, Anna has also run her own YouTube channel with educational content about music production. On tours, Anna explores the world and people, delivering DJ sets that delight with a mixture of various bpm music, from footwork and jungle to dubstep, future beats, and halftime.

Lyra Valenza is the project of Jens Konrad Barrett and Hjalte Lehmann, who've been putting out music since 2017. Having explored a variety of different styles and aesthetics over the years, they have since established themselves as a unique act in the contemporary electronic scene due to their singular and catchy blend of genres such as jungle, trance and techno – distilled into their very own sound. That Lyra Valenza’s sound is truly special is also evident from the recognition they’ve received from a diverse field of other acclaimed artists. Through the years, they’ve been supported by the likes of Caroline Polachek, Bill Kouligas, Courtesy and Rroxymore, who have played their music on different occasions. Their releases and high-energy live performances have also resulted in them being selected for the prestigious SHAPE Platform in 2020 as well as gaining them an ongoing residency at LYL Radio with their own label, Petrola 80. In addition to their radio show at LYL, they’ve also made mixes for, among others, Resident Advisor, NTS Radio, Rinse FM and Inverted Audio.

2023 saw the release of their long-awaited debut album, Low Gear No Pressure, which was released on Petrola 80, after having put out music on compilations through internationally acclaimed labels such as Courtesy's imprint Kulør, Opal Tapes and Posh Isolation. The album is a culmination of the many musical aesthetics on their previous releases and shows the group’s ability to create both energetic and addictive bangers as well as more laidback club tracks, always with a clear understanding of the synergy between the different compositions. Lyra Valenza is currently working on an ambitious international project, which is to be announced in late 2023, as well as two new releases. The duo is available for both DJ- and live-sets in 2024.

LAZA is a DJ and music producer born in Goiás and residing in São Paulo. His sets and musical productions are marked by elements of Latin core, funk, guaracha, dembow, techno and trance. His tracks have been featured in sets at Boiler Room, HOR and radio stations such as Rinse Fm, NTS and The Lot Radio.

He has produced songs in partnership with Carlos do Complexo, Urias, JLZ, Clementaum, Mia Badgyal and Cyberkills.
 
His debut was in 2019 with the EP/LP “Mergulho”, released through the Berlin label “Dissolute”. In 2022 he released the second EP “Chamas do Cerrado” on the same label. His latest EP “137” was released in 2023 through the Trampa label in Colombia.
He has shared the stage with Tayhana and Boyz Noise, as well as renowned DJs from the Brazilian electronic music circuit.

Loïc Berger aka E-Unity is an established thinker of the french leftfield techno scene. He’s released several records, tunes and remixes since 2017 through labels such as Oscilla Sound, FTD, Peach Discs, PAN and TemeT. With an EP in 2020 and a mini-album in 2023 on the Simo Cell’s label, Loïc refined his signature sound echoing pop music, the hardcore continuum, urban sounds, latin music and the post-dubstep era with emotional and introspective melodies, heavy bass vibrations, spacey synths and hybrid rhythmic compositions. 

With his new record « E-Ternity », E-Unity keeps pushing his positive and emotive sound towards a dystopian and uncertain world. This bouncy and ascencional EP, which may be his most club-oriented work so far, is made for pure summer hedonism where time and space cease to exist. 

The visual and narrative aspects that have always lied in E-Unity’s music are more present and tangible than ever in this record, each track evokes scenes like musical novels. These musical scenes are reinforced by the visual universe developed by him (through his creative studio Unité Services) and 3D artist, Laurent Allard.

Galtier’s is an artist who hones in on amalgamation as the focal point of his output; his works occupy an expansive somatic energy that has evolved significantly over his decade-long presence in the global electronic scene.

Sporadic unexpectedness in rhythmic pace and structure coupled with a coagulated sense of mood is the formula for Galtier’s productions and DJ sets; a willingness to explore change and progression in sound while maintaining a sense of driven cohesion has been a driving force throughout his foray into sound design. 

The productions on both his 2018 'Terran' EP and his debut album 'Pulchra Es Elementis', released in 2021 are essentially 'Blade Runner soundtrack with Drums' utilising impactful, theatrical melodic qualities and borrowing heavily from Techno, UK Bass, world influenced percussive rhythms, Drum & Bass, Dancehall and Ambient. His distinctive interest in the myriad world of rhythm and percussion - coupled with a love for 1980’s science fiction & fantasy that he grew up watching - help sculpt these compositions into imaginative, thematic electronic tracks.

Later works have been experiments into raw signal music, heavily FM-oriented and further into the abstract alien. Galtier’s 2022 ‘Imitation Plantae’ EP and his latest 2023 release ‘Nausea Signal Studies’ are examples of said evolution, with the inclusion of hardware frequencies into the mix and a further delving into resonance and organic movement of processed noises. The palette is far more erratic and bulbous; the immenseness of the soundscapes have caved in on themselves, feeling more like a black hole than the spiritual vastness of space and the emotions that come with this sensation. 

Galtier has offered up mixes on reputable platforms that include Fact Mag, XLR8R, Inverted Audio, Rinse France and has contributed endlessly to the enormity of independent music publications that are making humble moves. Throughout, minimal restrictions on BPM and a desire to keep things ever-changing result in massive shifts in tempo throughout even a brief Galtier set. His cohesive understanding of music accompanied by his passion for creating his own unique and stylistic approach has won him admiration and respect on an international scale.

He has worked with such labels as Infinite Machine, NAAFI, [re]sources, TRRUENO, 10 Label and in 2015, Galtier introduced his own label Nostro Hood System to the world; nestled in the thematic concept as a label focused on the xenological discovery of an alternate galaxy to our own that sets out to showcase the musical artefacts that originate from it. The output has hosted releases from such production greats as Amor Satyr & Siu Mata, Atrice, Amazondotcom, Siete Catorce, Aircode, Avernian and Galtier himself.

Galaxian has made a crucial contribution to modern electronic music in the 21st century, de-constructing & turning it on it's head while making bold strides into unexplored territories. More than a decade of authoritative releases on world-class labels & counting Aphex Twin, Mary Anne Hobbs, Helena Hauff & DJ Stingray among admirers, the latter being sometime
collaborators. Notable live & DJ sets played worldwide at Boiler Room, Dekmantel, Resident Advisor and key releases on Tresor, BPitch, Ilian Tape, Return to Disorder, Micron Audio and many others & featured in a number of BBC Essential Mixes, BBC Radio 1 + BBC Radio 6 Mary Anne Hobbs.

Starting out as a DJ long before becoming a producer, DJ sets display a depth of knowledge and experience, brimming with confidence and self-assuredness. Stylistically mixing style is rooted in a classic old-school approach, completely contemporary in track choices, techniques and performance. Sets are tightly woven, dynamic, incendiary, evocative.

Recent prominent releases on BPitch & Herrensauna restate Galaxians and his alter egos ability to deliver unconventional yet essential electronic music for the 21st century & beyond.

DJ Zvonimir has been making his mark on the hard-music scene for a while now. First on the compilations Southfrap Alliance, then on Menuise Records, he gradually developed his music and his universe around very harsh, punchy and rhythmic sounds, reaching up to 200bpm. DJ Zvonimir is clearly the artist in the hardest production at SFA and belongs to this new generation who does not hesitate to mix his hardcore, early, or even handsup influences to create his own style that we could define by a big middle finger to the codes and the limits of "good taste and the acceptable".

An EP that closes with a remix by Seul Ensemble which seems to have gone into angry mode by revisiting the title ‘Marseille-Roubaix’: a new opportunity to prove that Marseille is full unexpected, even surprising resources.
