離上次發行紀念超時空之鑰25週年的 beat tape 「時之翼 epoch」 已經五年，時間就這麼又流逝過去，恰好遊戲本身探討的是穿越時空及透過影響過去來改變未來，雖然用現在的眼光來看略顯俗套，但這款遊戲深刻地影響了我對虛構故事概念本身的情感帶入、以及音樂對情緒感受的切身影響。

去年三月作為遊戲人物角色設定的鳥山明突然過世，這件事其實讓我消沉沮喪了一陣子，總覺得好像有一部分的我也跟著沒了，感覺更像是，童年的我連帶兒時回憶的一大部分，包含在超任上玩的超時空之鑰、電視漫畫上看的七龍珠，直到現在我也還是說不出太具體的感觸，不是驟然也不是強烈，是一股悶在幽暗處形成的隱晦黑能量，間接也促成了這張 beat tape 的名稱與概念的由來，同時也是遊戲最後期的關鍵舞台及該世界的轉折點。

時間不等人，不只事情及物質隨著時間而改變，人本身也在改變，除了幸福的美好的，另人惋惜及懊悔的也是過程的另一大半部分，透過這張 「黒之夢 black omen」 把在月球的暗面呈現出來，沒有暗哪來的亮，沒有影哪來的光，一個全的本身就是相反相成、互相對立、互相依賴。

一款從我七歲就開始陪伴我的遊戲，祝超時空之鑰30週年快樂。


It’s been a while since the last beat tape “時之翼 Epoch” was released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Chrono Trigger. Five years have passed, and just like the game itself happens to explore time travel and changing the future by influencing the past. Although it seems a bit cliché from today's perspective, this game has profoundly influenced my emotional involvement in the concept of fictional stories and the personal impact of music on emotional feelings.

In March last year, the renowned Akira Toriyama who designed the game's characters, suddenly pass away and it actually made me depressed for a long while. I always felt as if a part of me was gone. It’s really my childhood and a large part of my childhood memories, such as playing Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo and watching reading Dragon Ball on TV and comics. Until now, I still can't put into words the specific feeling. It was not sudden or strong, but a dark energy that was formed in the darkness, which indirectly contributed to the name and concept of this beat tape “黒之夢 black omen”. The name itself is also the final key stage and the turning point of the Chrono Trigger world.

Time waits for no one. Not only do things and materials change over time, people themselves also change. In addition to the beauty of happiness, regret and remorse are also the other half of the process. Through this beat tape “黒之夢 black omen" the dark side of the moon is presented. Without darkness, there would be no brightness; without shadow, there would be no light. The “whole” itself is composed of opposite, contradictory and interdependent.

A game that has been with me since I was seven years old. Happy 30th anniversary to Chrono Trigger.
