@srichards1975 is the DJ behind the hugely popular Disco Daze Radio Show which airs weekly and features regular guest appearances by the cream of the Disco World. My special guest this week is one of my favourite artists, Monsieur Van Pratt. Hailing from Mexico City, he is a self-taught musician, DJ and producer who is well-respected in the music world. His music brings together the groove of late seventies disco, eighties funk and the catchy vibe of jazz, but reinvented for modern times with elements of modern synths and rhythms of house music. 

As a producer he is prolific, with a huge back catalogue of tracks released on labels such as Tropical Disco, Masterworks Music, Slightly Transformed and Discoweey. He also runs the record label Super Spicy Records, which has gained a reputation for quality releases of funk and disco. 

Last year Monsieur Van Pratt was ranked #54 in the Traxsource Top 100 Nu-Disco artists of 2020.
