Biographie
Les membres originaux de Drive the Beat se sont rencontrés en 2012 via un site dédié pour les musiciens désireux de monter un groupe. A l’origine une formation rock classique – deux guitares, basse, batterie, chant – le groupe est aujourd’hui un trio éclectique aux influences multiples: Gainsbourg, Velvet, Joy Division, Sly Stone ; les textes sont en français ou en anglais ; c’est selon. Après une résidence suivi d’un concert au Roxanne de Bergerac ainsi qu’un enregistrement 3 titres à la Casa Musicale de Perpignan, le groupe a écumé les scènes locales (Céret, Perpignan, Leucate…) et désire conquérir un public plus large sur la région et au plan national (voire davantage) grâce à ses performances scéniques et une évolution constante de son style.
