For the songwriting and producing nerds among you, this is a version with the drums and reverb removed. Both drums and reverb add to the general atmosphere, but even in their absence you can still sense the drama of the song as recorded by countless people. You've Lost That Loving Feeling (no drums, no reverb)

This was the follow up to the top 10 hit Car 67. In hindsight it is considered a very odd choice. But, written and recorded before Car 67, it was the reason I got a record deal in the first place. Read the whole story @ www.driver67.com/headlights

A cover version I produced 40 years ago (!) with a guy named Rhys Eye (real name, Pete Bennett). The treatment was his idea. The musicians included Tim Renwick and Pete Wood from Quiver, Pete Zorn, Ken Nicol and Pete Marsh and possibly Barry de Souza or Henry Spinetti on drums.

Ralph Steadman sings! The world famous cartoonist wrote this song with Hunter S Thompson and Mo Dean (wife of John Dean of Watergate fame). Tax Loss (Driver 67) provided the production and playing. Read the story at www.driver67.com

Those Wild & Twisted Nights

Another track from Keith who, if he'd taken himself seriously, might well have had a career back in the 80s. But he stuck to the day job, running his own business. Still doing it! The engineer on this was Simon Heyworth, co-producer of Tubular Bells.

Keith Lyons - Hang Glider

This was the B-side of My Brother's Famous - from all the Brians who were brothers to big stars. Brian Brando, Brian Presley, Brian Travolta. The B-side was dedicated to Brian's sister, Sue, 'a mean kind of mother' who 'drinks her own bathwater through a dirty straw'. John Peel played it on his show.

John Barham did the strings, and Emmy Award winning (for Sgt Pepper) engineer Geoff Emerick was on the board. I produced. The singer is Asha Puthli.
