The Shop Guard decides enough is enough and goes rogue, he tries to kill you. He's not strong enough. You are stronger.

He falls into The Forgotten Realm and melds together with it's flesh. The next time you enter it, after his death, he will confront you at the bridge, mangled and deformed and swollen from The Fallen's malformation. Enough is enough. If he can't defeat you in the living world, he can defeat you in the Forgotten World.

...he's strong, he's almost as strong as you. Almost.

During the battle, he rants about justice, about how evil you are, and when he begins to lose, he thinks out loud. He'll just reform, right? Well, not quite. Bits of him will assemble, but The Fallen are amalgamations of different cadavers, he'll only be his whole self once. This is his one chance. He fights and fights, you continue to whittle him down piece by piece. Eventually, he's only a torso and a head. Then, nothing at all.

You will become the strongest.

We Meet Again, Thief

For the life of a tender apple, swinging while the wind catches on it's surface
It sits until it falls and gets brought home by a human
Sometimes they just hang, hang, hang, hang, hang, hang
It stings, but you wait for someone to notice
For they haven't picked their apple before and they sadly never will

They say "maybe next time, I've been too busy"
Whilst they have spoken behind the trees without oneself
A shake to find him again, worms crawl in the core of the apple
