🎵 Track 11: Even in a world that will break tomorrow
(Melodic Speed Metal / Love and Peace in a Broken World)

This is a particularly special song for BLUE TARO-P. It’s the only track accidentally mastered by JW Music Society. But the final sound was so close to perfection that only a tiny EQ tweak was requested, and the master was used almost as-is.

Musically, it leans toward melodic speed metal, reminiscent of X JAPAN. It was strongly inspired by the desire to create a song Toshi (X JAPAN’s vocalist) might enjoy singing. With that in mind, the chord progression is unusually complex, and modulations are included (e.g., the chorus is in D minor, the verse in A minor, though eventually lowered half a step).

The expressive vocal traits heard on X JAPAN CDs were interpreted and incorporated—not as mimicry, but infused with BLUE TARO-P’s unique voice and style.

The lyrics were born from everyday misunderstandings with the composer’s mother. Surprisingly, the core message is: “It’s the ordinary days that are the most precious.” There’s no guarantee your loved ones will be here tomorrow—so cherish the moment. This gentle belief, grown through daily life, lies at the heart of the song.

Originally titled “Even in a world that will break tomorrow,” the song evolved into one that strongly desires peace. It may be that BLUE TARO-P wanted to speak out—through music—against the suffering happening somewhere in the world.

The lyrics were refined with help from a trusted advisor. Some expressions were beyond what BLUE TARO-P could have come up with alone, and while there were ideas to include English lines, it was ultimately kept entirely in Japanese—believing the “soul’s cry” could be conveyed fully in that language.

Listeners praised the twin guitar sections as “cool!” The finished sound stands proudly among the album's best. Although most of the work was done by JW Music Society, BLUE TARO-P made minor tweaks—not wanting to feel completely hands-off.

“This song was made by pouring out my soul.”
With a secret hope that someday Toshi himself might sing it, BLUE TARO-P treasures it deeply.
