Title track from the CD "Open Doerr". In 2014, I commissioned a guitar built by master luthier Tom Doerr. After receiving the guitar (pictured), I worked through the next year to produce an instrumental CD of original tunes on this guitar as a way to pay tribute to this amazing instrument built with Lucky Strike Redwood and Cocobolo.

“Journey to Light” stands as the album’s great turning point—a symphonic progressive metal instrumental in three movements.

Piano opens the path, guiding the hero’s ascent: first the electric guitar claims the stage in D major, then the violin rises in Bb major, singing with luminous fire.

Finally, guitar returns to close the cycle, as piano delivers a radiant outro.

An odyssey of sound—both cinematic and eternal.
